  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

As you can hear in this vid the lady says something about "you can see all the other cars on the track right here on the GPS". Its about 2:00 minutes into the video. Has anyone seen this on their nav system? Im not sure how other cars would look on the nav screen.

Am I missing something?

hmmm. You've got me. Maybe it's a pre-production or specialized demo model with different tracking options enabled in the Nav software for such pruposes?

It doesn't entirely surprise me, though. The software that goes into these machines is known to be limited to the average users' level of understanding. I'm sure there are tweaks and config options that were left out of the production models to essentially prevent headaches later from users "accidentally clicking on the wrong button" and screwing something up, or to prevent us from getting overwhelmed by too many options and controls to sort out.

She's talking about XM Nav Traffic. Notice how she mentions GPS? I think she thinks (and she may be right, I'm not sure) that the XM Nav Traffic reports it's position and speed back to XM so that way it gets a more clear 'snapshot' of traffic. This link leads me to believe it's just like traffic.com, except on your nav system. Can anyone confirm/deny?
