Update completed and wireless CarPlay works with Apple Maps navigation both in the instrument cluster and the HUD.

The charging screen for the instrument cluster looks to be updated as well.View attachment 60001

Mine updated as well and is also working!! Thrilled!! And I’m on iOS 18 beta and still functioning beautifully.

Do you happen to use Google Maps or Waze as well? If so, do they also appear in the IP and HUD?

I do not think Waze worked for me in the HUD in the older version of the software.

It’s Apple Maps only for CarPlay.

Waze and Google Maps now appear in HUD. I can also confirm seat bolsters and surround sound bugs fixed.

Mine has also started downloading. I'll see how long it takes.

Mine took a little less time to download. Maybe an hour, but it works! Amazing. Never thought we would get this.

Im using Apple CarPlay and an iPhone 15 Pro. I don't get the map directions in the HUD. Has anyone else figured this out?

So I’m sitting in my car looking at the SW Info/Update screen. Do I have to “do” anything to prompt the OTA or do I just wait for it to start up on its own? How long did you wait before it started happening

Do you have the icon in the top right portion of the screen like post#192. Only at the end of the four hour process do you have to answer a couple prompts.

I’ve been waiting to see about the seat bolsters. I set it and hoped to see it tomorrow.

Mine is doing this right now, so something is live.

JW.USA.ccIC.001.009.240826 is the navigation software version.

How long did it take?

I started my car at work around 5:15pm, left it on in the parking lot until I drove home around 6:35pm. Turned it off in the garage about 5 minutes later and it looked like it was still downloading.

Just went out to my car now (just before 9pm) and it was still (or resumed?) downloading. I'm leaving the car on for now and just plugged it in.

Does anybody know if the download continues when the vehicle is turned off?

4+ hours. Car can be off. Only at the very end do you answer a couple prompts.

Brand new charging splash screen!


This one is massive: The steering wheel circular and star buttons can now be used to trigger CarPlay! (Phone Projection) Previously only the hollow star button next to the Setup can! This makes accessing CarPlay so much easier.


It looks like someone left the "Forward Cross-Traffic Safety" for the 2024MY in the 2023 update. It cannot be enabled.



Sadly, Smart Support feature being automatically toggled off is not fixed.

This update is absolutely phenomenal. I applaud Genesis for listening and improving their product via OTA when they could've reserved it for the following model year. This feels like a brand new car, and have guaranteed my purchase of another Genesis vehicle in the future.

No, unfortunately, I do not. And my update button is still grayed out. I can't imagine the US and Canada OTA updates are not live at the same time! Hmm....I guess I will leave my car on over night and see if anything happened in the morning.

I believe Canada updates came out a couple weeks ago. Check further back in this thread.

No, unfortunately, the updates haven't come through for Canada yet either. We have been waiting with baited breath as well. See post #181 from this thread. Mike_1103 is in Canada like me.

My god, the lag!!! I updated and connected to my G80 via Bluetooth. It did the contacts download and prompted me about CarPlay. Connected thru that and it switched to wifi. There’s like a 2 second lag when I toggle the steering controls to go to the next song. Brutal! Full screen is nice tho.
