OK, update is done!

Noticed my Star button under the HVAC got reset to "Sports" instead of the Phone Projection I had it set to. And when I went to reconfigure, I had many more options and (I think) all the same options for all programmable buttons! If I remember correctly, each button has a more limited subset of actions and I could have Phone Projection on any steering wheel buttons. I like this improvement a lot!

The Sports service does not appear to be active - I'm going to log into my Genesis account and see if there's something to enable there. (I am not a sports guy so not a priority for me.)

I don't know whether they added voice commands but after asking for "commands" and exploring I saw that I can open/close the front driver, front passenger, and the pair of rear window independently or do all at once. Can also trim on/off all the heated seats at once, too. This may be the same as it ever was but it was need to me.

What is the "surround sound bug" btw?

OTA updates will only download and install while the vehicle is turned on.

My download started at vehicle startup but the rest was mostly done while off. Prompts came up a couple times saying you can turn off which I did. Maybe that is why it took 4+ hours. Vehicle was only on ~90 minutes of the 4+ hours.

What is the "surround sound bug" btw?

On my GV60P if you selected "Surround" sound instead of "Reference" it always reverted back to reference. There is a icon on the top right of the screen. I think it only works with FM/XM.

No, unfortunately, the updates haven't come through for Canada yet either. We have been waiting with baited breath as well. See post #181 from this thread. Mike_1103 is in Canada like me.

Ah, got it! I usually leave mine in Reference if I'm using high res or discrete surround sound from a USB drive. There's no button for AA audio and I haven't played to much to test the surround level slider on the audio config screen but I did find this: B&O Audio Surround after US Software Update -- Possible Trick to Engage?

I'll probably play with the Reference/Surround toggle on the Sounds of Nature and see if there's any effect when I switch back to AA audio. (It seemed to me like Sounds of Nature played in discrete surround sound when in Reference, though.)

The biggest reason I wanted wireless AA was so I could have my USB drive mounted all the time and switch between AA with Deezer and the high res & surround files on the thumb drive. Happy that's now a reality!

Are you using Apple Maps? Does it display in the main instrument cluster screen?

I am but have not been able to get that to work. Others may have. I’ve posted the question elsewhere to see if anyone figured it out. There might be a toggle somewhere to turn it on.

Well, the OTA update is happening to my G90. Unfortunately, the car has to be running, unlike the GV60.

Mine updated as well and is also working!! Thrilled!! And I’m on iOS 18 beta and still functioning beautifully.

It used to mute audio on all speakers while siri spoke, but now only mutes the front, with music still playing from the rear speakers.

I'm not a fan, but have not found any way to change it.

Hi Ian, I too have a '22 UK model and it has always just muted the front speakers during announcements (I haven't found a way to change it either).

Have you tried using the up/down analog stick on the left hand side of the steering wheel to switch over to the view?

I was driving home yesterday from picking up my car from my dealership when I noticed that the update was downloading. I drive around for another fifteen minutes hoping it would finish downloading but gave up and parked in my garage. I have a 10 mile local drive to my golf club this morning. I will see if it finishes downloading (it would be great if it did so it could finish installing while I am out embarrassing myself on the golf course).

There's a lot of suspicion that OTA update aren't available in Canada. I received my car in April 2024. Probably had it several weeks and had to update the Nav software manually to the Oct 2023 version. Nothing ever came OTA.

So I'm waiting patiently for The Nav Updater. I'm not expecting an OTA update.

I also see that, but have received multiple OTAs. The update straight-up is not available for GV60 in Canada yet. We will have to wait...

I have the same thing. I've only had mine since April so haven't received any OTA.

I think you're the first I've seen that has verified that they have in fact received an OTA on GV60 in Canada

Again, my experience was that I had to manually update to the Oct 2023 update, which I discovered after weeks of taking delivery of mine. I would have thought the dealer would have made sure all updates were applied before delivery....but I guess not.

What kills me is that the Canadian Updater SAYS it's available for download, but it's the old file. 2024 1st Navigation Map and Software Update > Notice | Official Genesis Navigation Update Website
