Since the upgrade my 'star, button has stopped working which is the one I use to get to wired Android auto and now it says I need Genesis connected services. Anyone else have this happen?

The update resets all the user defined buttons, so you’ll have to reassign functions.

Push and hold and reassign it.

The update reset buttons and the star button got set to the new "Sports" connected service which doesn't seem to either exist or be turned on yet.

Has anyone been able to make phone calls on CarPlay after the update? My calls start OK but 30 seconds in people will say they can't hear me. Sounds like I'm underwater or robotic. This has been occurring on a 13 mini and 16 Pro Max on iOS 18 using a wired connection.

I've had the exact same problem. Some calls work ok, but some go exactly as you've described. Also using a wired connection, using an iPhone 14 Pro Max with iOS 17.

You need to reprogram the button. The update wiped out all the shortcuts

Apologies. I should have specified: This is the 'star' button on row by the Climate Control screen. It pops us as needing Genesis Connected services. Prior to the update, that button was one I could assign to functions including the phone mirroring, which is how I used to access AA. So this is now the SPORTS function? If so, can one of the other programmable buttons like the two on the steering wheel be programed for AA?

Based on my read of the prior response, I think you should be able to reprogram this by switching to AA and then long-pressing the button to store the new function.

All special function buttons can still can be programmed. The update wiped out your settings. Just go back in and select which function (AA) you want each button to perform.

Yes, a long press on any of the programmable buttons is the quickest way to get to the setting for that button.

And as best I can tell, the hollow star, the filled in star, and eg circle button now have all the same options and more options than prior to the update.

For example, the steering wheel star button couldn't do phone projection (AA/CP) before but now it can. I prefer on the steering wheel but prior to the update I had to settle for the star under the climate control button.

OK, I am going to try a long press on the hollow star button on the climate panel. Currently I cannot get it to go past the pop up message trying to connect me to Genesis Connect services.

Same here. I think it is a coding mistake from the OTA.

Hmmm- I've been having no problems with calls on CarPlay with my iPhone 14 Pro since the update. But if you are using a wired connection, then you are not really using CarPlay. CarPlay is (after the update) all about being wireless. Have you tried doing your calls wireless?

Sometimes I get the Genesis map on the cluster until I Navigate somewhere in Google Maps. Sometimes it does load Google Maps in the cluster when I first start the car and have not yet navigated anywhere, but not always.

So far, the cluster only displays Perspective view in dark mode. I can switch the center display map between Perspective, North Up, and Overview (as before.) I think I like keeping the center in overview.

Right?!?!

My only consolation is getting to watch and learn, from those who can do the update, how things are working, what to look out for, and what to change once we do get it. I guess I am grateful it's a staggered roll out with a few issues here and there that Genesis must be tweaking before rolling it out in Canada.

Today while driving around 70mph on a freeway the seat bolster tightened. I was not driving in sport. When I slowed down the seat bolster retracted and when I stopped it was turned on in settings. I had not turned it on in several days. Strange.
