  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Navigation Map and Software Update Discussion Thread

Why is it now harder to log into the app? It used to save my log in & password so I can easily access it. Now I have to enter in the log in, the password and get a code every time. Is this the same for everyone?
No, not for me. I would check >Utilities>Setting & Privacy. Check the three toggles to see if that's the issue.

Oh excellent! I found the 'Keep my logged in to app' deselected after the update. Thank you!!

I'm hoping there is an update to the App soon, I'm beta testing iOS 18 and now the app refuses to launch, just gives a "Jailbroken iPhone, App disabled" message!

Ah well, the joys of being a beta tester

If you are thinking of testing iOS 18, you may wish to wait.

FWIW, I have a deliberately jailbroken Surface Duo (Android) that it refuses to run on also. I absolutely hate that app.

it seems they changed the title from June to July. That's annoying, I was looking forward to this update. Stupid thing is, they didn't even change the contents in the entry. It all still says June.
Annnnnnnnd now it's been changed to august. Guess we're never getting an update.

Hopefully this means there's something substantial in there, not just basic bug fixes (which if not critical can always be delayed to later releases) and map updates.

One of the threads here said that a member in the Near East got the update and it included wireless Apple carplay and full screen carplay:

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Followed the link and that person has a GV80, not a GV60. So we'll see. Also, doesn't the GV60 already have full screen carplay?
Im trying not to get my hopes up but I think Steve is trying to point out the gv80 also didn't have wireless AA or carplay, and that they actually received a update that enabled it.

Hopefully that means we might get it as well. I don't use carplay so I can't comment on full screen though.

Come on Hyundai Genesis. Give us the wireless AA!!!!!!

Yes we are supposed to get WiFi AA/CP, it was mentioned by Hyundai last year.
Do you recall what source reported that?

I would do a search on here. It was talked about and links provided. There was a few doubting individuals...

The Genesis Middle East July update brings the wireless AA/CP according to the release notes.

And this article from last year mentions bringing it to Genesis vehicles in the last paragraph.

If this were true, I would be so thrilled! I cannot get a stable connection with my cord and phone, so AA keeps going off and on while using it.

Oh how do we actually get this update?

We just got to wait patiently for when they decide to release the update for your region.

I’m hoping for more than just wireless AA/CP if they keep delaying it.

If you switch the region to Korea, you can see that they also have video streaming services added/improved on their latest update. But I highly doubt they will bring that to the states.

The new 2025 GV80 is also listed in the cars available for receiving the update and it is giving me display envy with their 27 inch OLED display. 😅

Thanks! Although the "List of eligible vehicles" only includes the 2024 MY GV60.

I think that might be their introductory year for the GV60 in the Middle East. I see older genesis on the list so I have no reason to believe that they had the GV60 before the 2024 MY.

So to expand on this for folks who don’t read the article. It says “Hyundai Motor Group plans to expand wireless connectivity features to include Genesis vehicles equipped with the premium sixth generation and ccIC infotainment systems in the future.”
As far as I can tell by the chart, only the 2023-2024 G90s, the 2024 G60, and the 2025 GV80 have ccIC (connected car Integrated Cockpit - infotainment system). Just trying to set expectations. But then maybe all 6th Gen systems are included.
