Navigation question - blue tracking dots?

Does anyone know if there a way to remove the Navigation setting that marks your previous routes with little blue tracking dots? Looked in the manuals, can't seem to find the setting anywhere.

Yes, you can. I found the little "bread crumbs" to be distracting, too, so I deleted them periodically, and eventually, I found a way to turn 'em off entirely.

I forget the specific commands, but I think you just need to press down on the DIS knob, and then look for a reference to "waypoints" (I think). You should see an option for clearing them. If that doesn't work, try the "settings" option from the main nav menu, again looking for a reference to waypoints. Of course, if all else fails, take a closer look at the manual (the big one for DIS, not the quickie version).

Sorry I can't be more specific, but my car is not close by to verify this. But I was able to delete the dots easily enough while driving, so the necessary command can't buried too far into the menu.
