  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I've got several questions this morning related to the most recent navigation update. I did the update successfully and except for the numerically ordered presets/favorites, I like the look. However, it seems much slower to launch after starting the car than previous versions. Are others experiencing slowed startup times for the nav (and all infotainment) after the upgrade? If you're not, what type of flash card are you using (perhaps mine isn't fast enough)? Thanks. 2021 G70 3.3T Sport.

Not much different or slower here. Using the SD card that Genesis sent. Now I just use the same one to reflash the latest update on there myself.

ok. that gives me hope. i did a reset with connected services and thought it fixed the issue. after the reset, the music started almost instantly after vehicle turned on. 24 hours later, same issues as before. music from the USB drive doesn't start until after i've backed out of my garage, left my driveway and am driving down the street. satellite radio starts 3-5 seconds sooner.

Mine seems slower after the update. Scratch that, it definitely is slower

This might simply be an issue with your USB drive. Check its speed rating and check that it is not close to full.

For comparison, I have a 256gb USB drive in the slot all the time, and it starts playing as soon as the car starts.

that was definitely my original hypothesis. are you on the latest update for infotainment? i switched to a sandisk usb 3.0 with a good transfer speed, but it didn't help. and the drive is more than 50% empty. even radio starts slow. here's the drive specs: SanDisk 64GB Ultra USB 3.0 Flash Drive - 130MB/.

I'm wondering if there is some type of local cache or ram that get cleared after a certain amount of time. for example, after i did the genesis connect reset, music started from the usb immediately at startup. i turned off car, opened door to get everything to turn off and then started it again and it worked nice and quick again. Then yesterday i get into car to head to an appointment and there was huge lag again. After every stop, i shut down and restar, even if immediately following, i still had lag. So...i just went into the garage to film a video to post to demonstrate the lag and it started up immediately again. no idea why it is intermittent. maybe i'll try another reset. but when it is low, it is slow for all music (satellite, carpaly and USB) although USB is the slowest. but when it works as it should, all are quick.
