The navigation was updated today and it seem to have resolved the problem I was having with the voice activation button on the steering wheel. The voice button would only work some of the time. It was not working when I arrived at the dealership.
How do I get said update? Do I call the dealer? I am to take my car on 12/2/08 for a first service appointment! Can I inquire then, or ask ahead of time? Do you know the price for said service and update?
Maps are provided by http://www.mapnsoft.com/. They provide maps for all the US Hyundai/Kia navigation systems.
Has anyone with a V8 had this done? If so, can you verify the version number? I'm having audio issues and my dealership insists this campaign was already applied even though the TSB is dated 11/4 and I picked up the car on 10/23. Just trying to see if it applies to the V8's.
Thanks!

Just not sure how it works, and it is not clear in the TSB as they use 3.8 sample VINs. However, what I think they are getting at is the sequence number, the last 5 digits. That indicates the order the car came off the line, whether 3.8 or 4.6. After a certain seq#, the updates were installed at the factory. I'm still not going to have it done until they fess up to what they are changing/fixing.![]()
