Had two really WTF moments in the Genny this week. As some of you might know I received a speeding ticket recently, since then I have been using the smart cruise control religiously, local, highway you name it. (Gas mileage really improved btw!)
So I'm cruising at about 45mph early this week and up ahead there is a pick up stopped at a red light, my car not only did not slow down it sped up and so I hit the brakes just as the huge AES symbols and sounds kicked on!
Later in the week doing 30 I changed lanes, car n front of red light stopped yet Genny does not slow, AES kicks on and I hit brakes hard. Here I thought to myself, maybe I tapped the brakes on lane change? So I brushed it off.
This morning a similar event doing 47, one car at red light ahead, I'm really hoping the brakes will come on yet the genny made no signs of slowing whatsoever so I brakes hard but before AES warning.
So am I doing something wrong here, is smart cruise control not intended to stop the Genny at red lights when a car is fully stopped there??
When a car in front of me is already "locked on" and then stops, never had an issue. Only upon approach to a fully stopped car.
