  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What's up guys, I got a 2011 2.0t, I have already done a few mods (HKS waste gate and BOV, cat back exhaust, some hard piping, catch can on the way in the mail, no tune yet) I'm wanting to start big mods, I would like to get to 350-400. I have read a couple threads of guys making 400 on stock internals and some say don't push 300. If I do get new rods crank ect, I'm going to get the Brian Crower 2.5 stroker kit. I would like it if I didn't have to buy that 3k kit but if I need new ones might as well, right? I have read the 13+ rods are better so swapping to those are a big possibility. I'm just looking for tips from guys that have done it. Bigger turbo? Tomei replacement looks good? I am building it myself. I have an 01 IS300 too but I'm as far as I can go without turboing it which I don't want to do on my daily. But I have completely rebuilt that car so all motor work is possible with me and my shop.

Thanks guys, look forward to knowing y'all
Andrew

PS. Do we have a Facebook group that's good to follow?

Enjuku Racing has a bolt on turbo upgrade on sale right now. Will definitely need a tune to take advantage of it, as well as supporting mods. But you could get to 300whp for less than 3k if you're doing all the work yourself

Welcome aboard, SaintAngeli! Thank you for signing up. Are you looking to make 350-400whp or crank? If wheel, forged rods and pistons would be a good idea...

BTR did a tune event in NC a few months back where a wide variety of 2.0 Gen 1 and Gen 2 were tuned. Don't remember what there numbers were but do recall the Gen 2 with newer engines made a decent amount more power with the same bolt-ons.
