Got mine friday and,so far, love it....wearing out the books trying to absorb all the new info. it is a lot like my 2012, but better....NOW< what is the latch thing in the middle of the trunk lid when it is open? Dealer doesn't know either?

For your clothes that are in a Garment bag, it will lift the bag up making it easier for you to take them out of the trunk.

The plastic bracket on the trunk lid is for attaching an emergency triangle reflector like this:

Here is the almost identical bracket on my Audi A8L which came with the triangle reflector from the factory:

I transferred my Audi reflector over to the Genesis and it fits the indentation almost perfectly except the outer plastic sleeve is a few mm too thick to allow it to close completely.

When I took the triangle reflector out of its plastic sleeve it fit the Genesis perfectly and the bracket locked into place.

My thought is that just like many other "features" that we did not get on the North American Genesis models such as the seatback LCD screens and around view cameras they chose to not include the emergency triangle reflector. Although I'm sure you could purchase a KDM or EDM Hyundai part to fit. Or just buy an Audi reflector and install it without the outer sleeve!

Then where am I going to keep the shotgun? Am I supposed to just hold up a hazard triangle when the zombies attack?
