  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

New Canadian 2013 Genesis owner questions

Funny, I just posted this observation in another thread. When breaking in a new car it is critical to go easy on braking for a few hundred miles until the rotors and pads get friendly with each other. If you do not do this, you risk damaging the rotors. Steering wheel wobble and brake pedal shudder when braking are the two symptoms of this damage.

actually when you have new brakes you need to brandish them first by speeding up and slamming on the brakes. taking it easy on them does not allow the brakes and rotors to become friendly.

look at step ten...

Are you thrilled with the RSpec?

I am thrilled with my R-spec. My breaks work fine and I did take it easy for the first 600 miles, but it had 190 on the meter when I got it. I also stayed pretty much between 2 and 4k rpm's like is suggested. Just do the manual shift to stay betweenn the 2 and 4 k, you will use more gas but hopefully it will be beneficial in the long run. No issue's with streaming either, you first have to pair your phone to the car. I love my Genny :p

hells yea! I just cant stop driving her all the time.
