  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just purchased the 2011 Genesis 2.0T Coupe. Any ideas on anything that would be cool to do to it as a first mod? That is relatively cheap.

BOV.. But think warranty might be an issue?? not sure exactly and heard from people its pointless for power but sounds neat!

A sales rep from our local Hyundai dealership said that it didn't matter what we did to the Genesis, as long as we always got it serviced at a Hyundai dealership then it would never void the warranty. However I would always advise checking with your own local dealership first.

BOV's do not give you any power gains, they do sound good, but are never recommended unless you are running a larger turbo with increased boost. As your stock bypass valve should be good up to around 19 psi.

Line up your hood where it meets the headlight on the driver side was my first "mod". Not gonna be doing anything to change the drivetrain that gives the company a way out of their warranty. I have other vehicles that are modded to play around with. Wife drives this car so some big invisible steel bumpers all the way around it and some curb feelers to keep her from scraping the rims would be a good start, lol...........
