New Genesis still in camo. Why? New R Spec?

I saw this Genesis while driving in S/E Michigan just north of Ann Arbor yesterday.
I dont know why this was still in camo since the reveal was a while ago. I dont know if this was a supplier vehicle just being transported without the camo ever having been taken off or if this is something special.
Could this be the next R Spec?
Your thoughts.

Sorry for the poor quality. My wife took them at 75 mph.

I did not create an account, so I have not seen the photographs. With that said, at least your wife was good enough to snap some pictures. It's nice to have a visual reference when someone talks about a car that hasn't been released yet.

I could be wrong, but doesn't look much like a camo to me. Anyone can see it is a Genesis, just with a weird paint job. I noticed that gas door is missing.

That looks like US 23 - its not very far from Hyundai's tech center in Superior Township. Maybe that explains its presence in the area?

That is normal camo for cars these days - do an image search in google for "car spy shots". It is actually a light weight vinyl wrap and does two main things - it masks body lines and can also wreck havoc on spying autofocus cameras.

I guess I should have said it looks like a "former" camo car, with all the other camo taken off to hide the important features. I agree the paint job is camo, but sheet metal looks fairly stock to me.

only things I noticed were the gas door missing and the exhaust openings are not the same. otherwise its a stock genesis.

Yeah, I am struggling to see any difference in the body. The lights are super bright so I wonder if they are full LED. Other than that, it looks like a 5.0 short of the quad exhaust tips.
My bet is it is the R-Spec underneath. Why else camo the car at this point?

Hard to believe that would be the new Equus, since it looks exactly like 2015 Genesis.

Since its just vinyl wrap not paint, it could be easily removed and would likely have been by now.
