  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Fall is in the air here in the great northland (Minnesota). My R spec is a month old and unfortunately, I'm alrerady thinking about how to best prep the exterior for the brutal weather ahead.

We can discuss the rear-wheel drive aspects of Minnesota winters at another time. :)

Upon delivery four weeks ago I clay-barred the paint, applied Meguire's Ultimate Polish and two (yes two) applications of Meguire's Ultimate Wax. It turned out awesome!

I want something harder (wax) to begin the winter. What do you recommend?

I'm thinking Meguire's Carnuba (formerly known as "Step 3").

Your thoughts, please?

Kevin

The best thing is to keep applying the paint protection throughout the winter. I've never found anything that lasts more than a month no matter what the bottle says. Definitely consider a set of good winter tires.

From what I read this stuff lasts longer than a month and I am applying it this weekend to my 2012 genny sedan 5.0, I hate waxing >
