Bid farewell to my beloved G and traded it in for a new Sonata. After two Hyundai's the choice was clear. I'm convinced these cars are really well built. It was an easy transition as the family resemblance to the new Genesis is uncanny. It's like getting into a smaller version of the Genesis. Most of all the safety features I enjoy and have gotten used to are in the new Sonata. That's if you choose one of the upper option classes. Of course it doesn't have the sheer brute force of the G but like the Genesis it gives up brute performance for superb refinement and interior space. The only really nice features of the Genesis that are missing is the HUD of course, autonomous braking, (although is has a front collision warning), and lane keep assist (it has Lane departure Warning) but that's why it's a Sonata and not a Genesis. It also has a top score for safety from the IIHS just like it's big brother. Hyundai has really gotten their act together on these 2015 models. Their build quality and fit and finish is now acknowledged as on par with any of the competition.
