  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The download is free, however I ordered the SD card update. I paid a little over $48 with 2 day shipping. I went from version 14 to 15.5 and the updates for the most part were quite good. I have a '15 5.0 Ultimate so unfortunately I don't have AA (which would be much appreciated).

I like the 3D maps, the new options for the navigation are also quite good. I like the look and feel of it as well. The nature sounds are a little gimmicky but I can see how someone would enjoy them. The one thing that I don't care about is the Media button selections, It has too many options, including FM, AM and Sirius radio, which already have dedicated buttons. I usually use Pandora app so getting to it now requires me to go to the second page.

Pretty sure you can select which options/modes you want to enable and disable in the mode menu settings

You can turn some option on/off for the steering wheel switch, however the Media button on the dash still brings up all the options. That's the one I was referring to.

Ah.. gotcha.

yeah - the sounds of nature addition... that's an odd one

I did all the necessary steps and when I put the sd card in the car it keeps giving me an error and Retry or Cancel. After some research I found that the version I downloaded (the only option) was version Gen 2 Nav but the picture of my screen states Gen 4.

Loaded the new software to my 2015 8" touch and now several of my SXM stations are missing their normal (pre update) station logos. I've try restarting radio, sending XM signal and still half my channels are missing logos.

I found the version I needed and all is well. There’s no night mode to the map though. Not that I’ve seen. Can you take a video of the media update please. Show what’s different and new. Wouldn’t mind seeing that before I decide to make the leap. Thanks

Yet another reason I'm glad I stuck with the older version (2 updates back)

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Install on my 2016 9.2" went fine.
All SXM settings came through unscathed (unlike April '21 update)

This was my 3rd update.
For 1st update I bought a SD card per Hyundai site requirements.
I have each time used the installer app to download, then copy to SD immediately after download.
Last 2 updates have actually overwritten prior updates on my OEM Hyundai or aftermarket SD cards.
So I've never looked at USB, I guess because the program never mentioned. it.

Where exactly are these nature sounds?

I'm getting a "navigation unavailable, check SD card" following the update.... any ideas?

I'd check the contacts on the card but you say it did the update? Finished and rebooted? Could it have unseated?

What are you using for the SD card?

Found out that the "format" command wasn't successful on the original update. So while the actual software got upgraded, there were remnants of the old data folder still on the SD-card. Just did a manual format and have used the upgrade tool to copy new data over to the SD card. I'll see if that fixes the issue and report back.

My First update, Download the new software on a SD card (32MG).the navigation updates dig out the new 3D maps ! Took three attempts.

I seem to have zero buildings in my updated map. 3D or not

I've got the 2019 so it may be different, but all these oddball experiences installing a map updates tend to make me shy away from it.

More and more I use Android auto, but the built-in maps are quite good.

It would be nice if they could provide a map update without a system update - or at least make it optional at install time. I understand that sometimes a full update is required.

Did the station logo's ever come back? I just did it via the SD card and had the same issue on all XM stations. I still had all my saved channels and radio stations. Had to re input the WIFI Code (house code) . Why I do that I have no idea. I don't think it updates anything but I hook it up to my wifi anyway.
