  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Quick introduction - been a HUGE car nut since the mid 60's. I've owned something like 57 four wheel vehicles, 12 motorcycles and 4 boats. I did some motorcycle roadracing about 25 years ago, and occassionally drag race and autocross. I also put around 17,000 miles a year on the motorcycles.

Current cars are in my sig below. The CTS lease is up in six months, that's why I'm here. I've owned many Japanese and a few U.S. "sports sedans". Probably the closest to the Genisis was an Infiniti M45 a couple of years ago. I've owned a few Acruras and Infinitis.

From the threads I've seen, this looks like a great forum - and I'm a forum junkie!

Welcome aboard, Jim! Thank you for signing up! Cadillac CTS? I'm guessing you're coming over from our Cadillac Forum. If not, than take a quick look when you get a moment. After all, you're a forum junkie (like me). Z06, huh? I bet you at least considered a CTS-V.. Am I right?

Thanks for the welcome! yes, I'm on the CTS forum - same user name.

I'm damn near a God on the Corvette forum ;) Okay, that might not sound right, but I think I'm right near 20,000 posts on corvetteforum.com

The CTS-V would be a hoot, but it honestly would be serious overkill for what I do with the car (okay, no such thing as overkill when it comes to power). I guess the truth is that I'm not as wealthy as I act :( I just can't justify the money or fuel economy for what amounts to a car for running the freeways in the Houston area.

Sounds like some good guys on this forum. I look forward to getting to know the forum better as I agonize over what to get as the CTS lease comes near an end.

Kind of an old thread, but welcome! I just purchased my v8 genesis and I am in the houston area as well, drove it here from Florida two weeks ago. I will just say that I no longer mind the Houston Traffic, in fact I hope for it.
