  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Lol....wings and badges are OK.
I was talking about the license plate frame. The "GENESIS" lettering, it's gone :D

Put together a quick DIY while at it? ;)

I guess, I'll be doing it by myself pretty soon.... stand by ;)

Alright....done! :D (here's the easy way out: Genesis Steering Wheel Emblem in 3D - Genesis Owners)

I'll just copy/paste already existing tutorial and add my own pics.

1. Disconnect the battery. I had to put a ball of paper towels under the (-) terminal because there was no slack for it to stay away from the battery.

2. Unscrew the two (star) screws on either side of the steering wheel.

3. Pull SRS towards you and look behind to see whats going on.

4. Disconnect the ground and the 2 black and red plugs. This is where using a very small flat head will come in handy. You need to pop the yellow clips upward to release the plugs.

5. Now the SRS is completely disconnected.

6. Now follow all the steps in reverse to put the new winged badge SRS airbag on and enjoy.

*Please remember that you are doing this at your own risk. I am not responsible for anyone or any product you purchase. Also keep in mind that this was how I installed my SRS airbag. You may choose to do so differently.

And partially debadged, no more crooked looking "GENESIS".

I think I'll leave it like this.

Take that pic and Photoshop out the Rspec & 5.0 and take another look at it. I think it would look better with just the wing. Just my opinion... Thank You for the step by step post on the steering wheel airbag replacement.

I already did that few days ago in my other thread

Awesome look and best illustrated pics as always.
Now I know where to look when it's time to do mine.
Thanks much bro.

No problem ;)

Oh wait....I thought you already changed yours? the sig says "(Trunk, Hood, Steering Wheel)" ....I was wrong :D

Ha ha...My steering wheel?
It's a cheap $15 stick on job.
Besides $245 is not a chump change so it needs to wait. :(
Otherwise I need to throw this bone at you guys.
Figure out how to de-badge the remote key fob.
