  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

New Official 1/4 Mile Thread

Thanks for your input, Darrin. I've enjoyed watching the list grow and change on the Stinger forum!

With regards to "no Dragy," I for one will never go to a drag strip. I just have no interest in taking the time to do it. A Dragy has shown on numerous occasions to be extremely accurate, if not a touch slower than actual dragy strip times. It's fine you don't want it on your list... your list, your rules. I vote it stays here though.
That cool, really! My thought are Dragy has a leaderboard, both monthly and history. Mixing those up with guys who do track their car lends to issues. When it comes to 100ths of a sec, only a real 1/4 can and should delineate differences. Basically your having two lists now, but only Dragy can be on both. IMHO that's not fair, that's why I support no dragy.

To your defense, we have agreed that in the event of a tie, the drag strip time is the winner over a Dragy time.

All good! For now I'll hide the G70 list but keep in on the back end. Hopefully you won't have drama but history says you will with a mix. I'll keep an eye on your guys, good luck and lets get a G70 in the 10's!

My man even wrote the boost at launch in! Love this and congrats on a good time with your mods!

Let's get this started again! Post your quarter mile times to get ranked on the list. Looking for our top 10 vehicles to get started.

Rules:

1a) Most of us have a dragy. Time must be stamped valid. Slips with your car pictured are preferred.

2) If there is a tie between a slip and anything, the nod will go to the slip.

3a) Mods must be listed. Everything unless it's underglow 😂 (tunes, WMI, weight reduction, etc.)

3b) List tires and fuel. We all know it makes a big difference. Some of the cars came from the factory with different tires based on region. List it.

If anyone has more suggestions, I'm open to hearing it and can adjust rules.

Post away!!

Congrats @Blue Bullet on making it onto the list and taking the 4th spot! Guys, let's try to make sure that we get pics or vids of the of the matching cars to our slips. Easy confirms and it's always cool to watch the G's go down the track or get tatted up with drag numbers.

Thanks, appreciate it, I feel a tad guilty that it's only 1/100th faster than your's.
Sorry about no combined pic with the car for the 11.86, not use to needing it.
I do have a combined from four weeks previous, but it's only 11.95.🤪
Just had last blast in it today before clean up and put away for the winter.☹

Don't sweat it. I was hoping to get one more in but tracks near me were closed due to rain. Spring can't come soon enough!

Had a bit of a setback after installing WMI. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet.

I hit some stupid metal box on the freeway. Bent my wheel, tore my bumper up and bent my steering tie rod in half. Tie rod showed up today and installed it. Wheel should be here tomorrow.

Been trying out different scenarios lately. One was going to stock intercooler, removing CPI and running WMI only.

Damn fast!

Are you letting the car shift or are you shifting manually? What rpm in either scenario?

Manual shift. 1st gear 5200, 2nd gear 5200, 3rd gear 5400, 4th gear 5600.

With some weight reduction and a good 60ft, no doubt it will crack that 10.99

Congrats on this and doing it on baller rims! I'm going with lighter weight wheels in the spring, but gonna stay with stock 19". I may have to go WMI in the spring, I'm nervous about it though. If anyone knows of a link with good info about WMI or a thread, please send it to me. Thanks.

I have had better success on my 20's than my lightweight wheels with drag radials. I just spin the shit out of them. I just have to learn how to launch better on drags. Too little it bogs, too much it spins.

Hit me up about WMI or CPI. I can help you with all of it and dial it in for you.

Figuring it out! All stock, aem drop in filter, 1/2 tank and factory Michelin tires. I brake boost in sport until right before launch control kicks in. So about 1500-1600rpm and launch from there. Doesn’t seem to limit the toque at that level. If I stall higher it does. Can’t get the ebrake launch that the stinger guys use figured out. If it even works on these. Overall I’m happy. Should run a consistent 13.0/13.1 in the summer heat too I’d imagine. If I could eek out a 12.99 in 80’s I’d be ecstatic.

Are you heating them up enough?

I went 255/35 all around for my 18's. My 20's are 275/30 rear and 245/35 front
What's max width you think you could run without rubbing? I'm debating 18 vs 19 wheels.
