  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So after lurking here for a few days I finally decided on my first "new" used car , my two previous cars being purchases through private sellers which were a 2003 Toyota Camry LE and a 1994 Ford Taurus SHO V6. When I was looking I was really only looking for a car that was affordable (under 250 / month financing) that had low mileage, a sunroof and was comfortable enough for my wife to sit comfortably being 6'3".

After sitting in Sonatas, Fusions, Elantras, Azeras (which were comfy but out of my price range) I finally fell in love with a 2009 Hyundai Genesis 4.6 V8 with only 55k miles on it for $15k. I worked things out with my bank and got it within my price range for payments and I am officially a proud owner of my first nice car fully loaded with tech and premium packages.

I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello. I will hopefully upload some pictures once it stops being so rainy and murky outside and when I get a fresh wash and waxing done to it (I like doing my own waxing bc the dealerships tend to do a quick crap wax lol)

Only one issue so far that has to be adjusted (the controls up and down for the radio, and knob stop working intermittently when I hold the voice commands menu) but it rides so smooth and feels like I've been driving it for years.

Welcome aboard. I also completely detailed the car once I got it home. It actually looked like the dealership sprayed armor-all on it and wiped it dry  I have never seen good paint look so bad. Claybar and a few passes with my DA polisher made it look new again. Enjoy the new ride.

not sure what the deal is, but i just bought one too (Monday), and the dealership really half assed the interior and exterior detailing too!

Welcome to the club, about the same time as me lol... I'm loving mine so far too. The dealer needs to fix the sunroof motor/track and replace my CD changer. but everything else works and the car is a fantastic ride. (2009 black on black 4.6 with tech package)
