Hey guys, an important message about the update. As I've said before, I had issues when downloading update to the hard drive, and never got resolved, until somebody posted it had to be done directly to a USB. And yesterday a found out a couple of things that should help others.
1. I had an updater on file for my 2022 Santa Fe Calligraphy, and when I downloaded the Genesis one, it sent me to Hyundai, and couldn't get it done. So DELETE any Hyundai updater, and download it from the Genesis website from scratch. You'll have to choose Hyundai or Genesis again. So when I have to update the SF again, will have to delete everything once more.
2. When logging in again, after the updater is installed, it'll say it cannot find your vehicle. That's normal, unfortunately. Has happened with all my 4 Hyundai/Genesis vehicles of late. DO NOT attempt to 'register' your vehicle, because you can't. Ha ha. Just choose the other option on the left (forgot the name), and then choose your vehicle. Done.
3. I forgot to insert the USB, and system wanted to download the software on my laptop. I knew NOT to do that, so I inserted the USB, and nothing happened. So I restarted the whole thing again (logging back in), with USB inserted -and formatted as exFAT, of course), and THEN the system highlighted the USB as default (like before). And it even warned me not to download it to the HD; go figure.
After that, all went flawlessly. It took like an hour to download to the USB, and about 53 minutes to download to the car (it said 45). Finally, I used a 64GB SanDisk Ultra USB 3.0 three times already, and zero issues. The G70 update is right under 32GB, but was rejected on the SF update, so bought a 64GB one, and no issues. I suggest you buy the larger one, since next update for sure will surpass 32GB. Hope this helps.
