Maybe too many things on owners wishlists perhaps? Looks like 2024 will be a one update year in October.

So WHERE does it say that Wireless Carplay is coming to the 2023 G70? I cannot find any such notice. Can anyone provide a link or official documentation stating facts about this supposed wireless carplay upgrade?

It doesn’t. We’re just speculating. They don’t show any screenshots of the gen5 infotainment in the updates in other regions, so my money is on we don’t get it.

G70 will not be getting wireless carplay... Confirmed. But the AAWireless works great for me, I've had it since launch anyways.

Thanks, @ExtremeFiretop, for that info. I didn't think we'd see Wireless CarPlay for the reason stated. Our Premium Gen 5 display isn't compatible with it. I'd love to see it, but it's not a major issue for me. I use a short 12" cable which works perfect.

I didn't either. Even with the new G70s, But it was wishful thinking on some owners.

When it comes to our cars specifically (the G70s) I think the AAWireless and Motorol MA1 are really the 2 big names:

Not sure if the Motorola MA1 can do carplay, but I know the AAWireless is capable of both Android Auto and CarPlay for iPhone found below:

Sure, they are in the list... That's not whats up to debate.
The list hasn't update since before the September update release, as per:

But after installing it was the same version of the app. I then went on and downloaded the map update, and the downloaded version is: NAM.17.43.46.011.911.0 as seen below:

Which is NEWER than what is listed as last Octobers update version (and the version I have installed): 17.43.46.011.302.0

However it's still not version 18, as suggested on the Genesis Mapcare | Customer Login website.
Sadly It's still has a "major version" number of V17, just a bump in the "minor version" number.

And I just downloaded and confirmed it's the same version, so not looking good for no updates for the G70 at all.

And to be clear, other cars like the G80, DID have the table updated for them. But not the G70s.
I'll still install it, might as well, but the Map version data is identical to what I downloaded on September 1st.

Your table looks exactly the same as the one I sent on September 1st and referenced above. So this does not indicate that the Software version was updated. (Today)



Unless they updated it on September 1st without announcing it yet, and I happened to download it then.
