  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

New to the forum thought Id post a few pics.

My 2013 R-Spec when I first got her. Looks like someone parked her on the driving range for a few days.

Welcome! I'm assuming this is hail damage. Did you get it cheap enough to justify the cost of repairing it? How many miles on it?

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Wow, that's a lot of damage. I bet the inside is really nice, though. And soon enough - the outside will look great as well. I hope you keep posting progress pictures...

Yup, looks like hail damaged, I've seem many cars like that, driving thru Nebraska.

Thank You. Yes car was from Pennsylvania and had some serious hail damage. Car only has 5,000 miles on it. Still smells new. Well at least it did.

Every panel except bumper covers were painted. Really wanted to change the color to the new ctsv blue but wasn't sure how it would effect resale if I ever decide.

Did you shoot it yourself? Were you able to work all the dents out??

Wow, nice work. Love to see clever auto enthusiasts work with their hands... How much did you do? Is it a salvage title? Black is good color to redo, easy to match from what I have heard.

Yes. I did all the R & R and my friend did the body and paint work. We pulled some of the bigger dents and filled the small ones. Color was a good match although we did use chromabase paint. Yes the vehicle does have a salvage title now. I was able to buy a new hood and deck lid at a reasonable price. Headlight and taillights were costly as well as the windshield. I'll post some finish product pictures soon.

Great.. Thanks for the reply... Nice work.. The hail wiped out glass, and polycarbonate. Big hail.

Yea can't believe it broke the lens on the headlight that is really hard plastic. All and all it came out pretty sweet. I've added a cat back exhaust, CAI, and the sweet Traction control mod I found here on the forum.

If you dont mind what did you pay for the car and how much did you put into it.
I would assume after all was said and done you have a damn nice car for a fraction of normal cost
