  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So, my first upgrade was to put on the TSW Vortex 18x9 wheels with Bridgestone Potenza 255/45/18 tires. Absolutely an improvement over the stock wheels and tires. Car handled better and looked a little meatier.

I was unsatisfied with the rear width however, so I began searching for a new wheel that would allow me to go 10" wide in the rear.

I didn't want to go with a 19" wheel, but every time I found a 10" wide wheel that I really liked, it was in 19" only.....

So here's what I went with:

Linea Corse LC818
Rear 19x10 et40 w/ Hankook Ventus V12 275/35/19
Front 19x8.5 et34 w/ " " " " 255/40/19

The car definitely needs to be dropped about 1" all around to really make these wheels/tires look their best.

I was concerned about the ride and will admit that it really isn't bad at all. I can barely tell a difference.

Here's the TSW's:

couple of notes:
They sent the wrong center caps for the rear, that's why there are none. I'll update the pictures and send some profile pics once the correct caps get here.

Looks even better in person and looks especially menacing from behind. The stance is so wide now.

No rubbing anywhere....at least not now. Not sure what will happen once I can lower it.

Looks very nice. I want 10in rims in the back but probably will go with 20s all around since the tires are cheaper (19s not being as common). Looks great. Also what exhaust is that? Nice tips

Again, I couldn't find the wheels I liked in anything but a 19" rim.
The tires aren't that bad. $185.00 per front and $221.00 per rear.

The tips are from a company called Schnell. They are made for Porsche and replicate the twin turbo tips that were factory installed by Porsche.

Here's what I've done with the exhaust (I know this has been posted in other threads)

Sounds great and not to loud inside the cabin. Sounds like an aggressive factory exhaust. Very similar to what my buddy's Audi RS6 Twin Turb V8 sounded like stock.

I really like the second set of wheels you've got. The first set reminds me of the wheels I had on my Mercedes E500 Sport.

Finally got the correct center caps for all for wheels. I will upload some updated pics tomorrow if it's not raining.

Car looks amazing, in person, with these wheels. Guys at the dealership were drooling over them last week while the car was in for service.

Plus, the car drives great. the Hankooks are not as sticky as the Bridgestones, but they'll work.

Wheels look "Infiniti" like...look good.

Very nice, Scotttisha - I love 'em..

Yeah, there's a video somewhere of me doing a couple drive byes on the highway....Let me see if I can find the thread it's in.

Love the new set of tires. I am looking at 19's for mine as well and didnt know if I wanted to go that route but they look good.
