If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Anybody replaced the stock wheels on your genesis? I'm thinking about putting 19" or 20" on my 4.6. I've got the stock 18's on there now. The dealer just put brand new Kumho ecsta tires on there a few weeks before I bought it. I'm thinking I'd get some decent money on selling whats on there now and the upgraded wheels I feel would really add a lot to the car. Any pics or opinions on what you've done would be appreciated.

I think there is a Genesis Owner's forum somewhere on the internet where members have discussed that, and maybe posted pics, etc. But not 100% sure.

I just bough t a 2013 genesis midnight brown with cshmere interior with 28K miles. It has 17 inch wheels and tires . I am considering going to 18 or 19. Does any one have opioin on adding the Rspec wheels . Does it affect mileage and performance

Assuming that you get the Genesis OEM size tires for 17", 18", or 19" wheels, the overall diameter of the tires are very close to the same, so should be no problem. Generally speaking, the wider the tread, the better the handling/braking/traction, but with slightly worse MPG.

Can I put 18 inch staggered 225/45 18 fron and 245/45 -18 rear.. will this work?

I personally don't know, but I think that subject has come up before and previously answered.

I checked with Discount tires and they say it will fit, Went ahead and bought it today for $250 all for wheels with tires, The tires have about 40% life left. I think I will just go ahhead and get new tires 225/50 18 fron t and 245/50 -18 rear

Nice man show us some pics when you done.

I have the 18" on the 2012 5.0. They are great. I bought a set of 19" with Blizzaks... They wheel are heavier, but great. With the heavier and larger wheel to spin, plus the winter tires, it drops about 3MPG both city and highway. Amazing in the snow. Will not slow down unless the entire car is super packed with snow under it. And that is hard to do. Also, it is slower accelerating. Never timed the difference, but you can tell.

19" should fit fine. If you like the 18" design, and can find a art cheap, that should be good choice too. Plus tires are less cost.

I sarted to price te tires today at discount tires and they will match online tires pricing for 225/50-18 fronT and 245/50-18 rear hankook, with 50K miles online price $498 plus $49 for shipping. Disacount tires said that stageggered wheel will only give 50% of the tire life and decreased gas mileage . since you can't rotate from back to front. I have to Think this over. They recomend I go 18/7.5 all around with 235/50-18. I like the staggered look but only getting 50% tire life and decrease gas mileage is not worth it to me. I will be listing the wheEls I bought on EBAY THIS WEEKEND

non directional tires can still rotate left to right, and you can play with the inflation to keep tread life / wear even. you will probably burn through the rears quicker depending on how much you spin them, but the fronts should last longer. larger and staggered does give a mean look to the car though. decisions decisions.

I think the 2015 Genesis could stand for some 20's all around. Might start my looking around for some decent wheels soon. I know there's some crazzzzy Photoshop guys out there. Any one game to create some 2015 images with some cool wheels?

I tried to order one extra 22x9 for the front in case one gets damaged but they discontinued the rims and I can't find a spare. Lexani won't drill the rims until they are ordered. I guess I'll just have to be really careful.
