After owning my 2009 4.6L Sedan for a few months, I decided I wanted to go for some aftermarket rims. I used tirerack.com to show me wheels that would 'fit', and after much study (including research of other wheel threads here) I ordered a set of 18x8" Advanti Denaro Wheels, offset +42, black with machined lip. They were shipped in, mounted, and then driven out into the parking lot... for about 10 seconds... before they drove it right back into the bay, and right back onto the lift. One (not both) of the front wheels was rubbing on the brake caliper (and scraping off the new paint that I had spent the weekend working on
). I understand that this is a common problem with these Brembo?? calipers.
As it turned out, it worked for the best, because once the wheels were on the car, I instantly thought that I didn't like the look. (Also, when they put the originals back on, I thought to myself how really good they look, and why am I going to all this trouble/expense...)
But..... I can't get the idea out of my head. I am going for the black on black look, I like the concave style wheel, and also like the staggered look. But there are very few wheels that I think would look right and/or fit on this car. I am now steering towards two different choices. I'll start with the frontrunner.

If I were to go this way, the wheel is available in 18 x 8.5" with offsets of either +35 or +45 (also 15 and 25). I can't get www.aspecwheels.net (the only American dealer I can find) to guarantee fittment (sp?) so I was wondering what any of you thought here.
The rimsntires.com calculator for 2009 Gennie Sedan says -
[ Offset: 35 to 45 mm. Tires up to 720x245mm. Rims up to 22x9.0" ]
Okay, but there is obviously flexibility there: For example, from other threads -- Ri0uxx has a rear tire stated as 10.5" + 23 offset. And Ruissimo says he has offsets of 33.5 and 16. Are setups like these two only workable with extras like spacers and modified fenders? I dont want to get into fender work, and I have read very mixed reviews on spacers.
For the back wheel, I wanted to go wider. They offer 18 x 9.5, and 18 x 10.5. I think 9.5 is probably plenty, but the offsets for that wheel are only available in +0, 12, 22 and 30. From my few days of learning about all this stuff, I assume I would be looking at the +30, but again, not sure. The rear brake caliper is much smaller so clearance wouldn't be as much of a problem, right?
Anyway, I did a fair amount of research to get this far. Could someone with a little more experience weigh in? Thanks.
