  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

New years glitch with head unit?

This is hilarious. This happened to me as well and I didn't know what happened. Listening to CNN one second and the next my wife's CDs. I chalked it up to being just another oddity with this head unit.

Very funny. I thought is was just me hitting button on my steering wheel, but now that I see this thread, it happened to me twice yesterday; 1/3, as well; both when XM was the original channel then switching to AM once and then my ipod. My daughter even noticed too, with "Dad, why did you change the station?!!!"

This am, when backing out, my screen went blank with a message showing at the top "Not Available in Camera Mode". XM would play but I could not change stations. I turned car off and then back on, no change. A couple of hours later, after church, the car worked normally.

It is a 6 cylinder Ultimate.

First time it has happened. Winder if it is at all related to these other odd happenings.

I have started turning the audio system off when I park the car ... no problems after turning it on after I start to drive. Sort of a pain though.

Has anyone reported this issue to Hyundai yet?

The Hyundai engineers would have to order Chinese first to duplicate the problem!

No issues with mine since January 1st...

I am having the same issue. Mine is switching from XM to FM every time I start the car. Never did this before Jan 1st. I have a 2015 3.8 Tech. Thinking about taking it to the dealer to see if there is an update. Any one having any luck fixing it?

No issues with mine - Born on July 8th, 2014.

And here I thought it was just me! XM took forever to boot this morning and then eventually the head unit switched to AM or FM, not sure which since I never listen to the radio and had nothing tuned. I'll keep an eye on it next time.

I also got spam calls on my cell phone because they said I had it on file with Hyundai. Did not know my dealer had put in my "service dept call number" into HMA's national database. A brief chat with the XM call center fixed that.

We bought a Brand New Sig, Genesis Jan.2,2015 & immediatley we noticed this radio issue. We dont use Sirus, when we start the car & come to leave it switchs from our FM station to XM, we have to put it back to FM???? Has Hyundai found a fix for this??

Just got back from the dealer. They want to replace the radio. My confidence in these guys is low.

That's absurd. This has got to be a software issue.

Has anyone tried resetting the system per the manual? In the DIS Navigation System / Owner's Manual on page 23, it shows the location of the reset button. It is located just above the right corner of the CD slot. Use a paperclip to insert into the small hole. It doesn't state this but I would presume the car should be running and the system should be on. Hope this helps you all...

+1 for me.

Starts up in xm and after the navigation loads it switches to am. I thought I was crazy at first but apparently you guys are seeing it too. Software glitch, update or Y2K15?

It's a feature of the "NEW car play!"

Turn on the new car, and it plays what it wants :D

My car has no glitch what so ever. Even tried defaulting between radio and xm after shutdown to see if it made any difference, nope. 2 things here, my unit is Canadian so there is no Bluelink or siri or App stuff on it which may or may not make a difference. There is an update for the XM portion of the unit which was done to my car in December, not sure if this update is also applicable to the US variety or not.
