  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

"ENTERING INTO A RIGHT TURN LANE THE VEHICLE MAY HAVE GRAZED A CURB. IMMEDIATE EXPLOSION & BOTH RIGHT SIDE AIR BAGS BLEW CAUSING MINOR INJURIES TO PASSENGERS. THE CAR IS NEW, APPROX. 985 MILES AND THE TIRES HAD BEEN REPLACED THAT MORNING WITH MICHELINS UNDER A TIRE EXCHANGE PROGRAM. THERE IS NO EXTERNAL BODY DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE, HOWEVER THE REAR AXLE APPEARS TO BE BENT. WHY WOULD AIR BAGS DEPLOY BY BUMPING A CURB AT LOW SPEED?"

And my dog ate my homework.

Interesting, thanks for sharing. The post about the airbags deploying from bumping a curb sounds far fetched. I can't imagine that happening with modern day systems.

You need to try to weed these out as many are just stupid people who caused the issue on their own, making up stories trying to get it fixed for free. I would think half of what you read falls into this category. The curb one has got to be one of those.

Agreed. I thought a number of those looked bogus.

SMH for people trying to get others to fix their own wrong doings to the car. That air bag deploying was definitely suspect, and there's no way a rear axle would've bent if you just bumped a curb.
