  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just returned from a few weeks to SE Asia and spent time in Bangkok and Hong Kong. While I did see a Genesis and Equus or or two in Bangkok there were not any in Hong Kong in spite of a couple of Hyundai dealers and a tall Hyundai building there. Hong Kong has a severe over allocation of luxury vehicles (Rolls Royce, Bentley, 7 Series Bimmers, S class Mercs, Range Rover, Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc. are everywhere). And I thought Orange County was bad. Just seems kind of odd that they have Hyundai vans and SUV's running around but no sedans.

HK is very status conscious (I believe they lead the world in Rolls Royce per capita and BMW/MB sell very well also) and a Genesis or Equus just doesn't cut it for anyone looking for a luxury status vehicle.

When you were in Thailand, were the Genesis and Equus Left Hand Drive? HK is also left hand drive and not sure they sell enough Genesis and Equus to make a Left Hand Drive Version.

Interesting. I just returned from two weeks in China (Shanghai, Hangzhou, Ningbo, etc.) and didn't see the first Genesis. My contacts there hardly knew the car existed. I saw plenty of AMG types, Bentleys, Lambos, and even a Maybach or two, but no Genesis. Go figure.

Mine is left hand drive :D

I know this is cofusing, but right hand drive means you drive on the right side of the road, even though the driver sits on the left side of the car.

The terms right-hand traffic and left-hand traffic refer to regulations requiring all bidirectional traffic to keep either to the right or the left side of the road, respectively.

References to vehicles usually follow the side of the vehicle where the steering wheel resides.

I do get your point, however.
