  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So what are the Service Managers & Writers going to say to the owners they previously told:- Nothing Wrong ~ We Cannot replicate!!!
Service Writer to Owner:- something wrong with your brakes! you are the 1st to complain!!! Brake Failure:- Never heard of that!!!!!
Hyundai certainly took their time to Act..........Sad on Hyundai..
Hyundai owners deserve B E T T E R........Much Better...

The smart ones will professionally acknowledge the recall and say "well get that fixed right away, sir/maam!" The dumb ones will make up some BS excuse and blame someone else...

Whats sad is that unlike the myriad of other non critical issues with this vehicle that dealers make us owners run the gauntlet of we can not replicate the problem, looks fine to us, and tech found everything normal;in an attempt to fend off incurring warranty repair costs; this problem has a very good chance of causing bodily harm and or death not just to the owner but to the general public as well. Yet it was treated the same as all the other "known issues" if you will.

Lets hope someones head rolls over this one at Hyundai as it is not a problem that should ever be taken lightly. And one that is in the back of every owners mind now. I know it is in my mind and my brakes have never given me one moments problem.

This past week I took my genny in for another situation and while there the dealership said there was a recall on the brake fluid and changed it.

That program has been in effect for quite a while (they were required to change the brake fluid if the car was brought in for some other reason). The new recall now mandates that Hyundai contact all owners and tell them to come in for the brake fluid change if it has not already been done.
