  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey everyone. I'm still getting a grasp on the aftermarket support for the Genesis Sedan, mainly the R-spec, since I've only had it about a week. I want to get a set of performance mufflers to give it a bit of a rumble, and I've come across a few threads highlighting the Borla Pro XS, Magnaflow, Dynomax VT, and Dynomax Super Turbo.

I saw a nice post talking about a multitude of different mufflers and how the Dynomax Super Turbo was probably the best bang for the buck in sound and minimal drone. My issue with the post is that the model stated (17733) is a 2.5" inlet and outlet. Isn't the factory 5.0 R-spec exhaust 2.25"? If that's the case, wouldn't the 17731 mufflers be the ones to go for?

I haven't found much after searching the site for the exact OEM exhaust diameter, and I'm not exactly sure if anyone is running these exact mufflers yet.

Check out "Dynomax Mufflers Installed" Go to page 4 and beyond. You should know what you want after reading this.
Yes, the factory exhaust is about 2.25 inches (it's metric, so it's close ).
