What happened to my signature pic? Thanks
It’s still there. If you’re using an ad blocker you’re probably not seeing attachments. The new system preserves resources by restricting a few of the more resource hungry items when ad blockers are used. What happened to my signature pic? Thanks
It’ll probably take a few actions to process you out of the ad-blocker user group.still no go
thanks though
Can you get me out of the ad-blocker group, Sal? I've been fine all of this time but since Friday I'm having an issue. It’ll probably take a few actions to process you out of the ad-blocker user group.
I can manually remove you, but the system will move you back in unless you disable the ad blocker. Can you get me out of the ad-blocker group, Sal? I've been fine all of this time but since Friday I'm having an issue.
Thanks, Sal. Is this "ad blocker" on your side or in my computer/iPad/cell phone?I can manually remove you, but the system will move you back in unless you disable the ad blocker.
Since the latest update, the new system preserves resources by restricting a few of the more resource hungry items when ad blockers are used. Features like search and attachments are items that fall into that category. Try whitelisting this site and browse around a bit and that functionality will open up again. Basic functionality like reading, posting, etcetera is not affected... To note, any of the account upgrades (support options) allow for the use of an ad blocker without the reduced functionality.
Please keep in mind that this community is free for you to use - but not free for me to operate.
It would be on your end. Most people don't even know they're using an ad blocker. It's a setting in your Firefox web browser. Probably an extension. The extension will allow you to "whitelist" this site as trusted. Thanks, Sal. Is this "ad blocker" on your side or in my computer/iPad/cell phone?
Thank you. I figured it was the Firefox. It would be on your end. Most people don't even know they're using an ad blocker. It's a setting in your Firefox web browser. Probably an extension. The extension will allow you to "whitelist" this site as trusted.
They all have the same adblockers, unfortunately. It's why communities like this are either going away or being sold to one of the two multibillion dollar corporations that own most of them now.I just switched to Microsoft Edge and it's doing the same thing.
Become a member for $20 a year and all those issues go away. Cheap entertainment and helps pay for the resources the list uses.I just switched to Microsoft Edge and it's doing the same thing.
Thank you. Almost all the car forums are owned by one of two huge companies:Become a member for $20 a year and all those issues go away. Cheap entertainment and helps pay for the resources the list uses.
You get ad blocking if you become a Sustaining Member for $20. Otherwise, the ads are to pay for the costs of running this.what about an adblocking dns? same results?
I think it’s all the same. Blocking is blocking no matter how it’s done. It’s a robust system that’s designed to give ad blocking viewers the ability to read messages, ask questions, answer questions if they want - and at the same time preserve resources so that the server can operate in such a way that the community can be useful for everyone.what about an adblocking dns? same results?
I understand ad revenue ed,Otherwise, the ads are to pay for the costs of running this
Good. Then you have no complaints about them. I chose the alternative.I understand ad revenue ed,![]()
