  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Official 0-60 & 1/4 mile thread

Congrats!

Oh, I'm on 10th with 4.76sec. I don't know what happened, but my 4.42 log is gone from the app so couldn't post it there.

I'm so pumped!

Holy cow.....!
You broke the 4s.

That is with map 3 with boostane. 5 per gal?

Map 5.

5 gallons of E85, 8-10 oz of boostane (I spilled a little when filling it, may have added more than 8 oz, haha) then topped off with Shell 92.

I noticed that, sometimes, when manually shifting, for whatever reason it will shift a tiny bit quicker than it normally does. Also, sometimes, it will allow me to rev to about 2400-2500RPM's (as opposed to 2250) when using LC, and those times, combined with these randomly quicker gear shifts, is when you get these killer 0-60 times! Haha.

Lastly, my time was done with almost a full tank of gas.

I would bet you could run map 7 in that mixture. That’s about the mix I use for map 7 and it pulls strong for me

Dang, really? I started getting nervous after like 10 runs that I was pushing things too hard. So I called it quits. What exactly do you use for map 7?

It is entirely possible that race gas would make it stronger but I’m not going to pay 100$ for 5 gallons of vp racing ms109 to test it lol. If I ever do buy that stuff it will be once the car is fully bolted and ready to actually use it all. But as for my car specifically i haven’t seen it pulling timing or feeling jerky on my mixture for map 7

Map 5 really needs more than 99 octane...for the best results.

For me...Map 3 is best with 99 octane. Depends on fuel quality as well...I use Shell 93.

Oh yeah, don't worry. I literally spent an entire day of driving before I even floored it. I drove very gently back home from downtown (30 min away), ran a ton of errands, and throughout the day I would ever so slightly increase my pedal travel bit by bit to ease into it. My first full throttle run was smooth as butter, no pulling of timing.

Anyway, I'm fine with this setup on Map 5. I did a few more runs tonight because I used more gas, had a little less than half a tank, so I figured I may get a tiny bit better time, also I wanted to make sure my breaking into the 3's wasn't a fluke...

.....definitely not a fluke. This run, in particular, was PERFECT. Perfect launch. Perfect shifts. This. Was. Perfect.

I'm very happy with this result.

G70 represent!!

I’m 3.8...so yer almost there!!!

As you’ve noticed...launching is so random. Me being at almost sea level...we’re probably the same.

Wait until the brake snip. I bet I can hit 3.6.

If a safe brake snip comes around...I’ll buy another Dragy...and record it.

Oh yeah, brake snip gives us AWD cars a huge boost! You'll get some really strong times with that. Exciting!

And it's so true. You can do things exactly the same time and time again, but it all ends up depending on your car. Wether or not it wants to raise RPM's enough for a strong launch, whether or not it will shift extra quick...etc.

I was very happy with my time, though. I won't mess with it anymore until I get my ECU flash and new IC.

I’m kind of scared doing it though. Brake snip is unregulated...you can f$%k your car up.

Well, the only people that I've heard having problems with it have held their boost building for longer than 5 seconds. I think as a general rule, don't brake boost for more than 3 seconds with it and you'll be golden.
