  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

One of GM's near future attacks on the Genesis

Can't agree more. Looks like people are starting to put more emphasis on the best engineering and value, no matter what badge is on the trunk. More bang for the buck is what I believe that is called!

You got that right!

exactly! on top of that, i was sold on 4-star safety rating on FRONT / REAR impact collision as well as side impact and roll over...

i just recently lost a friend in a head-on collision on 5 FRWY with a wrong-way drunken driver.

safety issue has never been this important to me until now.

Something that isn't obvious from the photos: the IP and door panels have the appearance of being upholstered, even though they are not. Instead, real stitching has been molded into the polymers. Looks very good in person.

I spoke extensively with the interior designer during the media preview, congratulated him on a job very well done.

Not bad, but still front wheel drive. Received my copy of the March Motor Trend in the mail today. It says the LaCrosse is targeting the Lexus ES350. Also expecting an AWD version for you folks in the snow belt who may need all four drive wheels.

So are they not letting people sit in this at these autoshows? Some seem to say they couldn't even get close to it while others seem to indicate they were able to get in it or at least very close. Sounds like mkaresh got in one, but maybe he had a special pass.

I was there during media days. The media get to sit in million-dollar prototypes--with someone corporate in attendance. The general public, no.

I thought the headsup display was gone for good in all cars except for the vette. looks like its back. Its a feature that I have grown to love in my 97 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP

Looks like a GM thing. I have seen it quite a bit in their small SUV's (Acadia, Outlook, Enclave,Traverse), and now it appears to be trickling down to their sedans/coupes.

No tach in the GP's HUD, correct?

Good to see one here. When you can manually shift an automatic, a tach at eye level can be handy.
