2016 genny with htrac, I'm finding the traction control goes on with the slightest little loss of traction. I'm finding it is actually dangerous. For example, leaving a gas station on the side of the highway you have to speed up rapidly to match traffic speed. Many times when I do this the rear tire may very very slightly spin a hair on some loose gravel or something, then traction control kicks in and suddenly I have no power at all for several seconds. I do see the traction light going on in the dash. So now I'm stuck on a NJ highway where everyone drives 90mph and there are no merge lanes with no power, great.
I'd really like to avoid turning off traction control every time I'm in the car, plus why bother having this safety feature if I'm turning it off. My previous car, an Audi A6 had traction control and it was very difficult to get that to go off, certainly a little gravel on the side of the road wouldn't cause it to go off.
Any tips, or adjustments that I can make? Anyone else experiencing this?
