  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi, I have a Black 2010 Hyundai Genesis Sedan 4.6L w/technology package. I need a whole lot of front end parts. Would anybody know where I may be able to source these parts, the dealership is quite expensive??? Any leads on salvage yards or any other ideas, other than ebay?

These are the parts I am looking for:

Front Bumper Cover with park assist
Bumper Inserts
Front Rebar (not absorber)
Driver side Fog Light
Fenders Left and Right
Hood + Hood Hinges + chrome hood garnish piece
Upper bumper (radiator) Grill
Rad Support
Driver side headlight (Xenon with auto levelling)
Driver side inner tie rod, or complete steering rack
Lower Rocker Panels, Left and Right
Windshield Washer Bottle
Radiator overflow bottle
ABS Unit (Module)

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like your front end has taken quite a hit - ouch! I would think your best bet would be to find a Genesis that has taken a similar hit to the rear. You might try some wrecking yards - those guys have a pretty good network and can sometimes find just what you're looking for.

This thread would make a good commercial for CARFAX

Send pictures of the mishap, so we can join in your pain.

Try www.car-part.com. I searched for a couple of parts and they came back with lots of hits.

Sounds like you should also need an original Hyundai airbag unit....

Well, if you see another Genesis on the road, and say you are in an old F-150, as it stops at an intersection- slam into the rear (*note-make sure it has no other car in front) at about 40 mph. Now you have a candidate for front end parts for your car! Choosing another Black Genesis victim (not a forum member blogger on this site!) earns extra EZ match points!

I have tried some wrecking yards, but no luck. I got some luck with one yard in sacramento, the computer showed that they had the parts, but when the guy went to look it ended up being a coupe.

Try www.car-part.com. I searched for a couple of parts and they came back with lots of hits.

I tried that too before, but when I called a few of the yards, the parts were nowhere to be found. In addition, I would like to be able to get as many parts from one place that I can, instead of 7-10 different places.

Ya I would have assumed that as well, but no air bag was deployed. The parts are not all in bad shape, but the work to fix them would very likely cost more than replacing them.

It would be great if I could find a complete front clip, which is what that one yard claimed they had, until it turned out to be a coupe.

What about your insurance???

It wasn't my accident, I purchased the car already hit. It just turned out to need a lot more than what the pictures showed.

Im not even sure if its missing any modules or sensors that need to be bolted up behind the bumper. So far I am looking for parts that I can see need replacing

Sounds like quite a project!

Ya it is definitely going to be interesting. Hopefully I can find all the parts at a reasonable price. I got a price of $9000 from the dealership (only for the parts I can see).

I need to get a hold of a workshop manual, parts list, or just a front end diagram so I can see what I have and what is missing.

How many miles on the car? No damage to engine, driveshaft or frame?

110 miles, less than a tank of gas. No engine or driveshaft damage, there is some damage in the crumple zone, but that's what it's meant for.

And you got it for $9K? No airbag deployment? Wonder why insurance company did not fix- can't be more than a $15K fix unless they saw more than you did.
Nice test drive....whoops!

I got a quote of 9K for parts. I paid much more than that for the car

OK- I thought you got the car for 9 grand. What did you pay?
Check ebay for parts- there are fenders, hood, liners, bumper covers posted on there.
