  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Pay $$ for Carplay???

Late to the game here. I have a 3.8 Touch Only. If I order the latest mapnsoft, do I automatically get AC as part of the map update? Thanks.
Yes for touch only, you will get Android Auto and Car Play as a part of this update, as well as, a host of other goodies...

Thank you cRaCkZzZz, I was able to install this file on my 2016 genesis. I loaded the image on a new SD card and after the install I used my old SD card allowing the factory maps to work along with android auto and my wife's phone for carplay.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Well that sounds like a bunch of crap. There is so much info all of the internet about how awesome it is that Hyundai provided this at no cost to owners. I just bought a CPO 2016 Hyudai Genesis and will be fighting them on charges. IMO, the navigation system should have been brought up to date by Hyundai prior to selling the car.

Not sure if I will win this battle, but I am definitely going to try. I will report back on my success or failure!
Hi there. Did you get this resolved/updated?

I'm new here and I actually found this website while searching online for tips on completing the upgrade. I just completed my upgrade a few days ago and I gotta tell you it's amazing. Here's my original post to this website and here's a link to the page where you can download the software to update your car.

From the images, this doesn't look like the Ultimate model.

I’m also very confused with this whole thing, I have a 2015 tech package AU/NZ spec and have been told there are no updates for this model, I believe my maps are 2021 version

Have taken a photo of my settings but no idea how old the sw is or if it can be updated tech spec for AU/NZ

Hi Kiwiger. When I upgraded mine (US) I did not find an exact match for the SW version I had in my car, so I took a leap of faith and told the updater that I had the one that showed up as the closest match. I did not select my year/model, I used the SW version. I'm adding some photos of what I had installed vs what showed up when I started typing it in. I ended up installing the one for an earlier year (2014, 8 inch display).

Based on that, I started typing in what you included on your SW version screenshot. It didn't get very far before it stopped, Looks like the software updater is only showing US versions. With that in mind, you really don't need the US nav info if you plan on using Android Auto/Apple CarPlay because those maps are relative to your actual location (I strictly use AA maps in my car now that I have access to AA and it's amazing) and you would probably still benefit from the general software update.

I took a very small 'leap of faith' telling the updater that I had a version that I didn't really have, and fortunately all worked well. For you, the leap of faith would be quite more drastic and if you decided to proceed, and the results could be devastating. I would not recommend personally.

That said, the other option (instead of going by your current SW version) would be to select the model year closest to your vehicle and screen size and update your vehicle to that software version. Again, this would be a total leap of faith and unless you have a dealer that can restore your factory settings, highly NOT recommended.

I'm enclosing screenshots of what I found. Sorry I can't be of more help to you.
