Here is the petition for Genesis to create a software update to add the 64 color ambient lighting to our sport prestige models.
Once I have enough signatures, I’ll submit it to my friend’s Genesis dealership who have told me they will ensure Genesis USA gets it! I will also email it myself to Genesis Worldwide corporate and Genesis Canada. Here is the link! Go sign!

They did have it before so I assume it's not hard to put it back in. And it's not just the Sport Prestige models that have this, so maybe don't target the one model...?

No, it was the one before that.

So there’s no option in the new update to change ambient color or is it a pre selected amount. I think I’m on the update from last spring. Will have to double check.

it looks like im on the march update. Is it worth it to update to the october one

The update seems to fix some remote app issues. Might be worth it for that alone.

Is there anywhere I can find patch notes. I’ve had my gv70 since October and started notice some weird glitches. The infotainment gear selector sometimes doesn’t work on the radio. The volume is on max but still sound very quiet. Very small issues that resolve after a quick restart of the car but still annoying. I’m hoping updating to the newest update will fix these as I assume is software related.

I'm on the October software. The ambient lighting is working on my '23 GV70 3.5T Sport Prestige, but it only shows 12 colors available. It used to be 64?

Yup, there was a colour wheel to pick your own custom colours. Why they would remove that, I have absolutely no idea!

OK...I signed the petition. That's just a dumb thing for Hyundai/Genesis to do.

Correction. The sport prestige never had the 64 color options. Every other trim did.

Overall is the update worth it? Don’t really care for the AA features but I’m experiencing some glitches with the may 2022 update and hoping the October 2022 update fixes them. Couldn’t find anything online about that.

It did fix things for some people on this forum. If you don't do the update, you won't get any support from Genesis if you do have a problem until you update anyway, so might as well go ahead...
