If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Does anyone have a picture of a Platinum Silver V8 with the winged center pieces? I caught a curb and scrapped my wheel. Luckily there is a local place that has a set of wheels from someone who swapped the OEMs for a set of aftermarket wheels. He is willing to sell me one for $150.00 installed, but has the center caps for all 4. I'm torn on you the caps would look against the silver

I cannot find the pics i had but trust me they look nice just make sure it's the winged center for the v-8 wheel and not the v-6 wheel. They have a black background which breaks up the all silver wheel and makes the wheel look nice.

I agree - the dark center caps look great, just make sure you get the ones that match up with the spokes.

Hey, just utilizing the forum!

Hey, just utilizing the forum!

haha... I would've done the same thing. Actually, I should've posted it myself, as I do remember this thread from before. Thanks! Anything to help out fellow Genesis owners is fair game by me.

...you gotta admit, those are mighty fine looking wheels... :D :D

Wow, those do look good! Where did you get them? I have seen a few places selling them but for like $349.00. Seems like a lot of money for plastic inserts.

I just ordered from them. Cheapest that I found, $198.95 + shipping. Found them on another thread on here. Took about 1 week to ship and another week to arrive by UPS ground from Miami to Arizona. I am currently on the road but my wife said that they look good. Personally can not vouch for them until I see them.

It is a slightly strange transaction. They will send you a paypal request and the name is different then the person I exchanged e-mails with. Justo is who to ask for if you call. Pushed the I believe button and completed the transaction.

They also have the airbag for $250.

Its odd that the 18" V6 caps are so inexpensive yet the 18" V8 caps are so expensive.

I agree.... also when my dealership installed the genesis wheel caps they mistakenly installed the V6 18" caps and not the V8. So it doesn't have the smooth follow through of the lines into the center, it kinda abruptly stops. I don't mind it though they still look good. just wished i had the V8 18" caps cuz those look mean!

I read on this forum that the 18" V8 wheels are US Market only (North America maybe)? I guess a higher price since they are made for the few customers that want then. The other caps are on the Korean market OEM wheels , I believe. (Someone correct me if I am wrong) Also saw that replacement caps for the 18" V8 wheels with the H logo are around $140-$170

I purchased a set of TSW Vortex wheels this week. (should be here tomorrow)
I have been looking everywhere for a "genesis" center cap I can use on the TSW wheels, with no luck, until maybe now.

Check out these center

caps for the coupe:

I'm hoping they will fit on the Vortex wheels:

I decided to go with 18x8 in the front and 18x9 in the rear....I'm a little concerned about the offset for the rear, but it's the only choice I had if I wanted to go with a 9" wide rear wheel. It's 35 in the rear and 40 in the front.
Worst case scenario, I will order the 18x8's for the rear instead.
255/45/18 Bridgestones all the way around. I would have gone with a 275/40/18 if I went with the TSW Snettertons since they have a 9.5" wide wheel available in a 40 offset.

I'll be sure to post pictures up once they are on....I hope this centercap above will fit these wheels!

Ha, I like those TSWs. I also like the Mallory and the Asan by TSW. Since they have no lip, they look extra large on cars.

Guys, I'm a little confused here. I just leased a 2010 3.8 with premium package. Which wheel inserts do I need and where can I order them other than the dealer? Thanks.

Wheel inserts for the V6 with 18", is the same as used in Korea...therefore just order them from one of the numerous vendors on Ebay. The V8 requires installing the 17" Korean center logo into the U.S. 18" cap.

Hoping someone can clarify for me. My dealer was supposed to include the emblems in the deal. They did the exterior but then said the steering wheel and the caps for the 4.6 are not made via the factory. Did they BS me or are they right. If I do need to go aftermarket, if you know of a good source, pleas let me know.

Happy new year all...

They aren't BS'ing you. The only way to get the steering wheel logo is to buy the stick on emblem (not factory) or replace the entire air bag assembly. The 18" wheel V8 wheels, aren't sold in Korea, therefore Hyundai did not make Genesis caps for them. Some ingenious person realized the 17" Korean wheels center emblem could be installed into the 18" U.S. premium cap...but the job isn't a simple swap out. It requires a bit of fabrication.
