This is my situation....
As read on my previous post, I purchased a 2013 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 tech package with 59000miles.
At 67800miles about 5 months later the transmission started to miss shifts and became very iratic, confused and sometimes jerky.
Hyundai did a scan and it came up replace transmission (I will post dealer paperwork for proof in prvt msg, not here to slander a dealership)
Est repair $9000 for tranny and aprox $6000install plus taxes.
Thankfully they repaired it under warranty......prob because i had recently just purchased it or because of the limited miles i put on.
So a month later......
I get a call.....the car is fixed.
This morning i go to the dealership pick up my car with my 2 kids (1 and 3)
I drive out of the dealership, shifts seem better but not smooth....i hit a major intersection with the intent to turn left....its early morning so traffic is heavy. While creeping to turn left i push the throttle and the car moves forward....then it slips and the car stops.....revs are climbing and i am stuck in the middle of a high speed intersection with heavy oncomming traffic.
Probably the most terrifying moment of my life.....my 2 toddlers in the car with fast moving cars rapidly approaching me stuck in the middle of a left turn while my car is reving with no response.
Oncomming vehicles had enough time to ether stop or swirve so there were no injuries.
I had it out with my Hyundai dealership.....they said it was road tested and ok.....i call bs.....im so upset right now, so hurt, cant believe i put my family in dangers way.
End result.......Needs a new transmission.....2nd tranmission was defective.
There ordering me a 3rd tranny.
This is my last Hyundai.
Please be cautious.
I will post dealer invoices if needed in private msg....
