If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello All, I hear a noise that sounds like an electric motor, but it's only in ECO Coasting. Does not happen in Comfort or Sport mode. Do you all think this could also be a diff issue?
I'd have it checked out, but it's doubtful, it's the differential. What you'd hear with the differential is like blowing air over a coke bottle at speeds, typically above 50 mph. And when you take your foot off the accelerator, it stops, then starts agin when you put your foot back on. It's a very distinctive sound and doesn't sound like a motor at all.

Well, we have an outcome. It's been three weeks and they simply don't know what to do with my car and there is no end in sight. And I honestly don't want the car back, but I actually love the GV70 SP. They know I'm inclined to lemon law it in exactly 9 days, so the sales manager called to say they don't want to go that route and frankly, it's never a fun route and takes a lot of time to go through. So, they're taking my car back and I'll be replacing it with a 2024 GV70 Sport Prestige, in Red, with black leather interior. I will have to pay some money out of pocket (not a lot) and my payment will go up a little, but isn't too hurtful as I had put a LOT of money down on my 2023 in the first place and didn't finance much at the start. I'm hoping this one is like our other GV70 and will be trouble free.

Wish me luck.........
Deal all worked out and will be picking up the Red 2024 GV70 Sport Prestige this Saturday. Money aside, I'm kind of excited!

Have to admit I'm getting excited. My dealer just got my car in and sent me these pics:

Congrats on your new purchase and settlement. I'm curious did they give you the full value of your original GV70? Or a good decent trade value? I hope you got a super deal for all your troubles. So far mine is running good. It's only been a few weeks.

No, they didn't give me the full price I paid for the soon to be bought back GV70. I imagine I could have gotten a bit more if I had Lemon Lawed it. But I just didn't want to go through that hassle and it takes time and I need a good car to drive now. The deal was good enough to get me to stay with Genesis, so ultimately, I'm happy. On top of it, they're installing the mud guards, doing the paint and interior protection with a 5 year warranty, 5 year wheel and tire insurance and pre-paid maintenance for 5 years at no additional cost. So yes, the deal was pretty darn decent.

Thanks and I'm glad your car is doing well. Our other GV70 is doing great. It's now over 8K miles and no issues of any kind.

Yeah that sounds like a good and fair deal. Who needs the hassle and time to go thru the Lemon law thing. It'll sour (no pun intended) the experience for both sides. I always wanted to try the 3.5 and second guessed myself for not buying it. All the best with this one!

Thanks!! Even with the issues I've had, I TRULY love the GV70 and there honestly isn't anything else out there which provides all the things a GV70 offers in comfort, looks and drivetrain for the money. I just got a lemon. I once had a Mercedes, which was a lemon and it didn't sour me on Mercedes. I'm not going to let this sour me on Genesis either.

Got the replacement Red 2024 GV70 Sport Prestige yesterday. The difference in how the new car drives compared to my 2023 is remarkable. The 2023 never drove as smoothly in every regard. While I wish it didn't cost me anything, it was worth getting out of the '23 and into one which I hope will be as trouble-free as our other GV70 SP.

I have to say the Red is a beautiful color and honestly was my top pick the first time around, but they couldn't find one back then.

All things happen for a reason. Enjoy!

Thanks! Today is detail her day. We've been using NexGen products since we got the 2023's. They ceramic coated my car for free, but I still use the NexGen Ceramic Spray (pricey, but so worth it) at least once a month on both cars. Looking forward to spending some time with the new car!

Yes, I've had that noise too...seems worst at about 80 KMH/50 MPH while decelerating in coast mode. In my case, they retorqued the bolt on the rear diff and the noise went away. Later, I had to have the rear diff replaced anyway though :(

Just had the LSD warning light come on this morning on a 2024 Prestige with 6k miles.

Service department will not have a loaner available for 2 weeks. Should I be concerned driving it with the warning? I haven't noticed any vibrations or noise yet.

There shouldn't be any worries driving it until you can get a loaner. I drove mine for a couple weeks without issue before I could get in for service and a loaner.

I would like to hear about your experience resolving the LDS issue. I dropped my car off at the dealer last Wednesday (5/1). I did not hear anything, so I called on Monday, and they advised that they could not duplicate the warning light after driving it for 30 miles. The LSD warning occurred each time I drove it, and they said they must duplicate the error message before troubleshooting. I checked the miles with the remote app, and the car has not been driven in the last 5 days. I'm considering picking it up and taking it back to the dealer when the light comes back.

It seems odd that the computer does not retain a log of the diagnostic warning codes.

Thanks!

In my case, I never got a warning light for the issue (either time). The issue could be easily heard at just above 50 MPH. It sounds like you're blowing through a Coke Bottle.

I got message Check Rear differential.... Can I continue to drive with that? Just asking
