  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Post purchase price details here (US $ only)

OK, I have been inspired and am now a supporting member :banghead:! I agree that both the content as well as r-spec's Circle discounts are invaluable. So in the interest of keeping this community strong and the website up and running, I'm in :) .

Although I am not planning to purchase until later this year, I have been learning so much just perusing all of the various topics. When I am ready to buy, I believe I will be more prepared to buy a car than I have been for any other event in my life, lol.

Agreed. I’ve been a Supporting Member since shortly after joining nearly 2 years ago and I appreciate that this forum is very informative, helpful and the members treat each other respectfully.

Good evening G70-ers,

I’m trying to become educated on the various incentives and how they work.

Although I’m considering a lease, also, I’m thinking it’s simpler to negotiate a sale, with a reasonable amount between invoice and MSRP, less applicable incentives.

Here’s the purchase incentives I see on Autoblog and Edmunds, for which I may qualify:

RETAIL BONUS CASH
Genesis US National$2,500 (Exp 2020-06-30)
COMPETITIVE OWNER COUPON PROGRAM
Genesis US National$1,000 (Exp 2020-06-30)
RETAILER CHOICE BONUS CASH
Genesis US National$1,000 (Exp 2020-06-30)

Is anyone aware if these all be combined?

Also, am I correct that when cash incentives are given, then special low APR financing would not apply?

Thanks for the information. 😀

I have two certificates that can get you a substantial amount of discount on any Genesis/Hyundai vehicles. This is far better than the typical "Hyundai Circle" certificate.

For example, brand new G70 3.3t Sport AWD can be had for ~$41.6k before taxes & fees.
G80 Sport AWD can be purchased for ~$46k.

It's ONLY available to those who plan on purchasing a new vehicle THIS month and these certs will be gone by tomorrow (6/22) morning.
Due to the limited availability and to make it fair for everyone, I will wait until tomorrow morning and contact the two individuals privately.

If you do not meet above requirements, please don't bother wasting your time and my time.

I've been lurking in this forum, I don't want the cert since I'm only dipping my toes to see the buying experience from this thread (I might purchase a g70 in the future) but I just created an account just to thank you for your help. :)

Keeping my fingers crossed :)
Been talking to dealers for the past two weeks now ready to buy this tuesday

Hello all... I've been lurking a while, but finally pulled the trigger on a '20 Siberian Ice 3.3t RWD Sport. I'm in OK, so bought it at Genesis of Edmond, just north of OKC. Had a great experience there. They didn't try to do the typical dealership games. Just told me what rebates we could get, and basically waived the doc fee ($600) because the car already had about 700 miles on it (unfortunately, oh well). Paid $43,600 out the door, which included the Genesis Finance cash back (however much that was), conquest (owned an AMG up till last week), and first responder for my wife is a nurse.

Really impressed with the car so far!

Fantastic! Great job with the deal, very close to employee pricing.

I'm not sure what the retailer choice bonus cash $1000 is.. but most definitely you can stack the 2500 and 1000 (retail bonus cash and comp. owner).
I've been messaging/talking to dealers for the past two weeks and it seems like the 2500 retail bonus cash and 1000 comp. owner bonus cash can be combined.

As of right now, it seems that Genesis is offering 2500 retail bonus cash AND 2.9% APR for up to 60mo. (3.5% for 72mo.)
OR
You can choose to get the 0% APR assuming credit is excellent, but you would have to drop the 2500 cash bonus..

I am being offered a 2020 G70 3.3T Elite with 8,900 miles for $40,500. I also have a trade in that’s valued at $11,000. Should I be jumping on this offer or does it make more sense to just grab a brand new 2019?

A little more information would help.
what is your trade in? Miles, make, year
and why do you mention it?
how much would you pay for a new 2019?

I guess the trade in part is irrelevant (2014 Nissan 370Z with 91,500 miles), but I see a 2019 RWD 3.3T sport for $39k, so something similar in that price range.

Not a direct answer, but I bought a NEW 2020 3.3t elite (with awd) last November for 47k.
Depends what kind of person you are. You either like the discount for a few miles on the odometer and are happily enjoying it, or you’re biting your nails at night wondering what happened during that 9k miles and wishing you had the full warranty.
I know which kind I am. I’ll pay a little more monthly to know someone hasn’t hooned it (besides me maybe🤪)

Haha, that’s fair. There’s a new 2019 3.3T RWD sport for $39k. I wonder if that’s the better option.

Most definitely new over used. Don’t forget the warranty you miss out on (unless it was a demo/CPO). You might be able to snatch a 2020 for 2-3 grand more if you wait but I would go with new.

Yeah the 2020 is a demo. Should that sway me to the 2020 then?

Really comes down to what you want. Do you want to put the first 100 miles on your car or get one already driven 9,000? It really is about what you want. I would check in with the dealer as well and make sure the demo will include the full warranty and services as a new one.

Yup. That’s a good call on asking about the full warranty. I’m not opposed to used cars as I’ve only bought used in the past with no real problems. Thanks for the advice!

When I decided to go with a CPO BMW 535i last year I thought that I was brilliant because someone had already taken half of the depreciation on the $62,000 car. What I didn’t count on was the high maintenance cost as well as the cost of repairing items that were outside of the warranty.

I am now going to cut my losses and get a new Genesis G70 and I’m happy that the first 36 months of everything including the maintenance will be included.

I have an offer for a 2019 3.3T AWD Design Edition for 43K after incentives but before tax/fees. Would this be a good deal? I've read the rest of this thread and saw some folks getting down to 40K but wondering how likely that is to happen. I think they very much want to sell it, any tips on negotiating it down further for this specific trim?

sale or lease?
edit: I checked and no further lease support on 2019 G70 models from May 2020 onward, per Edmunds lease forum.

Purchased my G70 base model (MSRP 37k) for ~34k OTD in socal all thanks to @R-spec. The 3.3t was tempting but socal gas prices/mpg is horrible.
Thanks for helping me out w/ my genesis purchase. I really like the genesis and am already considering purchasing another one within a year or two!
