  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm pretty sure I've seen this on another post, but I have a base model 3.8 Genesis sedan and when I shift out of park, my doors lock. Nothing new there, but if I don't put the car in park and a passenger opens the door, the lock will not auto lock at all. I have to depress the lock button on the drivers door. I thought I saw a way to change this to speed control, so that when I hit 10 or 20 mph the doors will auto lock. Anyone have an idea on how to do this?

check settings of the car. I have 4.6 Tech the screen show all options I don't know about the base model

Ok. I'll check with the dealer. I was hoping it was something like setting how the doors lock with the key fob. That worked perfectly. My dealer isn't the greatest when it comes to this stuff. Either they are playing dumb or are actually dumb. Not sure.
