  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

a tech package also has the premium plus with it which is 3 grand, your pricing is just with adding a tech. well guess what you cant just get a tech package without having the premium plus with it as well. this is what you dont know as a car payment guy vs a selling guy.

Well, I think ayasin is mis-understood the price in CR report.
As you can just add tech to a basic 4.6L. But you cannot do that for a 3.8L without adding the Prem+ pkg.

That's why ayasin can paid 38K for a 4.6L tech... but you can't get 3.8L tech for 34K. I don't need a CR report as you can pretty much get such info from edmunds.com.

For what its worth I also bought my Genesis from Round Rock Hyundai. I got the 3.8L V6 for $1000 over invoice, which came out to about $38000 and some change. It was my choice, I told them to let me see the invoice and I will give you $1000 over. Hell the salesman gotta eat during the recession!

I understand that the Prem+ pkg is required for the tech package, but why should it be priced separately. If A is a superset of and requires B then just list the price as B + whatever premium for A as well, otherwise it's a recipe for user confusion. According to CR the invoice on the Prem+ pkg is 2730. If you are correct and the Prem+ pkg isn't included in the price of the tech pkg then that would bring the final dealer cost to 36758.

now your correct. but again it doesnt matter what u feel it should be, the fact is on a 4.6 premium plus is standard on a 3.8 its not, that is why you MUST add the premium plus package to the cost for a 3.8 since you can get one without it. a 4.6 you cannot get without the premium plus additions.

I paid $38k+tax for my 3.8L Prem+Tech after they agreed to give me about $2k over blue book on my Sonata trade in. This was in Everett Washington.

Hi Everyone.

Just joined this website. Great website. I have been looking to get the Genesis for a long time and finally made up my mind that I want to purchase one in the next few weeks.

Can anyone tell me what prices they paid for the 2009 Genesis 3.8 V6 with the technology package and premium package. I think the dealer also had the cargo mats. If you can provide the final price you paid before Tags. title and taxes, that information would help me alot. I live in the DC metro area.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Neil

I paid $36,200 at Manassas Hyundai. Exact specs you are looking for.

I love this Forum! It's gonna save me money on a Genesis one day. :)

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Now what interest rate did you guys get. I got 5.9% for 72 months I believe. Back in October I could have gotten 4.9% but I was scared because of the recession to purchase at that time.

Thanks for the quote. The dealers that I have been talking to are just around that quote.

One additional question - was that price you quoted on the road or was that plus TTL? Thanks!

I leased my Genesis sedan w/Tech Pckg on 8/2/08 and paid the full $40,000! Had I known to wait till November when my 2006 BMW 530I lease ended, I could have probably paid less.

Although, the satisfaction of having a Genesis practically before MANY people was kind of - well GREAT!

But, for my Second Genesis, I will bargain and if I don't get what I want I would walk out, even though I do LOVE the car, I can just as switch to the Cadilla CTS Coupe or the base Jaguar XF!
