have problem downloading iPhone 6 contacts with phone features on 2012 genesis sedan. has anyone had this issue? dealership tells me there is no update which i find hard to believe. many people have iPhone 6.

also, can you put important contacts in manually as favorites or do they have to be downloaded?

help, phone features on my car are useless!

I can't comment on the iPhone 6 specifically as I have a Android phone.

But be sure under bluetooth settings, within iOS, that you have 'sharing contacts' to the Genesis bluetooth device checked. Not sure if this is a thing in iOS, but it is in Android. Another issue I found, is that if you have over 1000 contacts, it will not download the contacts.

Answer to your second question is yes. You can manually input contacts, they do not need to 'synced' from the phone.

No problems here. I have an iPhone 6 and a '12 Genesis with the Premium package.

I have a 6+ with 2012 5.0 and it can sync all phone numbers. If you want to add them manually, I suggest inputting them into the address book, along with the name and location.

I have also been told that no update exists for the telephone interface. I am very surprised that Hyundai has not released an update, especially for integration with new IOS devices.

GingerWop solution was the fix for my situation ... ensure iOS Bluetooth settings for Genesis connection allow sharing contacts.
