  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

problems since i bought my new genesis 2 weeks ago

Well i guess i will have to change my name on here as they havent figured out how to fix the alignment so i asked for a r-spec instead and they had a new one that was a demo with a few thousand miles on it and it will be same price as my 4.6 was. I pick it up tomorrow

Congrats! Smart choice! Do you know what's funny? Back in September I picked up my 2011 Genesis 4.6. Two months later I got into an R-Spec for a test drive and my life changed...I realized at that point that 5.0 was the car I was after :)
Traded in my 4.6 in a heartbeat!

you won't believe this but the rspec that i got instead is now doing the same thing with the alignment. This one had a few thousand miles on it before but didnt have issue until about a week after i got it. Unbelievable, i am keeping this one and they will just have to fix it. any one else have this issue as bad, or as unlucky as i have.

Ummm... you know those things in the road, that when you drive over them make you sorta lift off the seat for a sec? You're supposed to avoid those ;)

Seriously though, sorry about the run of bad luck, hopefully they'll get it fixed right very soon. Maybe try a different dealership?

dropped off the car today and they couldn't fix the alignment and are calling Hyundai engineers to see how to fix it. I have asked for a different car as i see this would be a continual issue and i am not happy with it.

Just a thought but it could be the tires, have them swap out the tires and take a test drive. See if this changes anything. Honestly i've had my genesis for 3 years and my alignment has never been right, i just learned to live with it, to each his own i guess

I have seen the stereo issue of no sound coming from speakers. After shutdown overnight it was corrected and worked fine.

Auto lights I have seen that in the morning when the sun is not completely up. Mine is not the headlights going on and off but the instrumentation cluster getting brighter or dimmer.

There is no camber adjustment on the Genesis so the tires have to be properly made because they cannot adjust out any tire issues. I just went through issues with Conti DWS and ended up with the new General GMax. Alignment was in specs and the car kept pulling right. Generals tracked perfect. Go figure!

Google - Michelin Pilot sport A/s plus pulling to right, and you will get a lot of results with same tire different cars. A tire causing a pull is not that unusual.

Hi there..I had the pulling and it was sencors in all 4 wheels that did the trick ! Have dealer change all 4 and see what happens ...the stereo is a crap shoot some people have good ones and like me mine is crap but it works some days and does not work on others days ...just the luck of the few .....good luck ...

What is a senior? FYI: I have the Michelin AS Plus on my SL500 and have had nothing buy loud noise and pulling to the right problems. Dealer needed to install a camber kit.
