  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Production Numbers

Mine is Ibiza blue with Ivory/Ivory interiors .

I must admit it looks good , but hard to maintain . I am weekly scrubbing off marks left by kids on the rear seats and on the front seat back pockets.

Yep. I am looking all over the midwest. I am in St. Louis. Found the dealer in Ohio last night. they have quite a few. Chicago has a number of options as well. Hard to find an AWD Ultimate, in the right color combo. I have a few months to look around. Hopre to find a clean with over tan in that timeframe.

Yep, It took me 2.5 months to find the one I wanted, and went from Indy to Chicago area to get it.

You have a very good collection of 2015 - 2016 Genesis in your area. Wish we had so many here in Bay Area.

I traveled to buy mine. If there is a good enough deal, and you can get the time off from work, do it. Bought mine in Minneapolis, about a 7-8 hour drive.

I was of the impression Ibiza blue was rarest as it’s strictly a Ultimate color, unfortunately only comes with the Ivory colored interior.
Ivory is a beautiful color but it’s one fail is its tendency to absorb the blue dye from the blue jeans nearly every one wears in this day and age.

Thanks for the heads up. I am particular on keeping the interior and exterior of my car looking good. If a nice Ivory example came along I was going to consider it. While the Ivory is stunning, I think I need to cross it off the list or I will just end up driving myself nuts tending to it. I am currently partial to the beige interior (I really like the light wood finish) but I have seen some moments about Blue Jeans leaving stains. All in all, black might be the best choice for me. I am coming out a black interior (silver over black Audi A4) and I would really like something different. The Genesis gray interior is not for me. I have seen some photos of white over black with a window tint that I like a lot.

Chicago seems to be a better market for my search. Prices and options seem to be better v.s what I see around St. Louis. I have not seen many Genesis options over in Kansas City, but the prices these also seem a touch better vs. STL.

I know it is only a photo, but that interior looks fantastic to me. From a wear and tear perspective it seems to be in perfect shape, well done!

That's what I noticed as well. Similar options / miles were around $3k less in Chicago versus here in Indy. That made the Megabus ride up there worth the trip.

Well we’re retired and it’s a 2016 with barely 12000’mi.soooo she’s pretty much a hanger queen 🤣

I wanted Black on Ivory, couldn't find one. settled for the grey and so glad I did. So much easier to keep clean.

Seems that I missed out on the first letters within the production date. It states MAR/10/14. That's odd they spelt out the month it was produced. I didn't include that in my initial post and it shows an inconsistency with production numbers from others. Am I missing something?

I am also shopping all over the midwest (Indianapolis), but only for the V8. There are very few of them here. I test drove a very decent 2015 Parisian Grey at a GMC dealer. It had been sitting on the lot for >4 months and they were asking less than $24k. It wasn't the right color so I let it go. Unless you swooped in to pick it up, I think it went back to auction.

Nope, I did not scoop up that 5.0. I am looking to getting a white 3.8 ultimate with AWD. Hard to find one with the ultimate package.

As an FYI, I did drive this one.

I did not take a super close look as it was not a 3.8. I did note that it needed an alignment. Price on this one seemed high to me.

If you find a 5.0 in the Metro STL area and you want me to take a look at it I will. Just shoot me a message. Cheers!

That price is nuts. There's a certified 5.0 at the dealership 10miles away for $27k and <25k miles.
I'm eyeing this one: 2015 Hyundai Genesis 5.0 in Troy, OH | Hyundai Genesis | Troy Ford
It's very tempting on paper, but I might just keep waiting.

I found and purchased a black over tan Utimate AWD a few months ago. Very happy with it although I was not a fan of black cars but it is growing on me. Was not alot of options to pick from so conceded on the color a bit.
