  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just traded in an Infiniti FX with Sirius for the Genesis with XM. The Infiniti Sirius radio lost the signal often and there were two spots on the way to work were I could always count on losing the signal for 2-3 seconds. Not so with Genesis. I just realized I seldom, if ever, lose the XM signal exept for the expected places like underground garages.

This forum consists mainly of gripes about the electronics. I've complained too but I like the XM in this car.

This is my first car with XM, so I have no basis for comparison. But when my XM trial was still in effect last year, I rarely lost signal. I let the trial lapse and restarted a few months later, and now the signal drops in places it didn't before. The audio quality is considerably worse than with all the other sound sources, too. I still use XM just enough to justify the subscription, though.
