  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey guys, just coming over from the Genesis Coupe forums. Traded in my 2011 2.0t for a brand new 2015 Genesis 3.8 H-Trac! Super stoked about the new car, and can't wait to start doing a few mods. I'm only going to lightly modify this one, maybe an intake, exhaust and some LED turn signals probably (Why is that the only incadescent bulb on the car?!).

Coming from the 2.0t, this car actually has a lot of get up and go, even compared to my stage 1 tune, so it should be fun; and its definitely a lot more comfortable!

So that's it, Guess I'll be here for a while to chime in on stuff and ask questions. :D

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your new Genesis Coupe! Have any pictures? What do you think of the 2015 V6 as opposed to the 2011 2.0T? I'm curious about what you think of both the performance and the car itself...

Thanks for the welcomes guys! And yes, that is correct, now in a Sedan, no longer a coupe. But either way, the sedan is an overall better built car imo. It Feels more solid and looks to have better quality control on fit and finish along with better/more luxurious materials. Although, one thing I'm not sure about for Canadian winters, is the polished metal on the trim around the windows and grille stainless or aluminum? I can't really tell, but it almost looks like stainless, which hopefully won't get too shabby with the salt on the roads.

Yes, the Genesis Sedan is a more luxurious vehicle than the Genesis Coupe. The Coupe is meant to be more sporty than luxurious. That's why the sedan is considered a bit higher up on the food chain. Price-wise as well - and for those reasons...

Yeah I gathered as much. But that being said, the price is quite good, especially with the big discounts and trade-in incentive. They paid of my near $11k loan on my trade and gave me $8k off. I doubt they'll ever make $11K on my old car (150k km (93k mi)), so they essentially gave me and extra couple grand off the car. Ended up with my loan paid off and in the new car for around $45k.
